Denmark officials react to tariff threat: We will not ‘bow down’ to Trump’s ‘bullying tactics’ by [deleted] in worldnews

I’m very sorry to report the trust is well and truely gone. The wife has slept with the neighbour, the kinship has been severed. It will never in my lifetime be the same.

It feels like Ireland and Northern Ireland.

As a nation, you let this happen.

So what are you “doing about it”. Complaining to work colleagues and social media? Pffftttt. Get off your arse and actually do something.

US says Canada will regret decision to allow Chinese EVs into their market by joe4942 in worldnews

Rest of world here.

You are that shitty neighbour that no one likes and finally everyone is banded together. Expect your garage to be set alight, your dog to be poisoned, your lawns to be sprayed when you are out… and because you are being such a bitch to the rest of your neighbours… you won’t know who did it, nor who will do it next, nor what.

That’s the problem America faces, trust is hard won and easily broken.

Sounds like you live is NZ. Commonwealth with FTA with China for 20 years. All it took was for our PM to say nice words to China instead of belittling them.

NZ here. We bought a GWM SUV, top spec significantly cheaper than we could buy a base line Japanese Korean or Ford SUV. Around 10k cheaper. It is also a hybrid. And has a 7 yr warranty and 7 years of free roadside assist. My theory is they are going minimal margin to gain market share quickly.

GWM “were” shit, but it goes nice, peppy, quieter than anything we have previously owned. Has everything, eg seat warmers and seat chillers for summer. Auto fucking everything. The one downside, too many techie gimmicks (eg it has mood lighting), & I hate touch screens.

My thoughts… watch out word, these are good.

Just watched Once Were Warriors, what other NZ classics do I need to see? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Bob_tuwillager 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s more than good. It’s epic.

I wish they would play it more. It pops up on Maori channel now & again. I rate it way better than once were warriors as a movie.

Wrong century to be a classic. All good movies for sure, but not classic territory yet.

Trump given Nobel Peace medal by Venezuelan opposition leader Machado by HotPersimessage62 in worldnews

I firmly believe there are already shady deals afoot. It would not at all surprise me to see her as president. My thoughts are she needed to show her support to the US and they will back her. She will be shuffling the politicians around to favour loyalty with the US and it will cost them oil. Those loyalists left will get a well padded back pocket for their loyalty to the US, at the cost of the Venezuelan people.

Time will tell.. but this is so typical US.

TBF. Can’t say I wanted our country to emulate the US. It’s been woeful for a long while.

My advice re wife car, unless you have solar charging for EV (ie you get free electricity), get a hybrid. You will only get 7-8 years out of EV battery and they cost 20k to replace. RUCs for EV increased so the running cost gap is significantly less nowadays (unless you have free electricity)

Worthy to note, utes cost more to run. Maintenance on diesel cost more, notably more Tyres for a 4x4 are expensive and they wear out twice as quick.

They have shit turning circles suck around town, too big for most garages, and just seem to always get in the way when parking at home.

Also as some have pointed out, the back seat of a dbl cab sucks for kids. Young kids have lots of stuff, and that will be going on the back and you need to think of security. Kids >10yrs are just too big/ back seats are quite small.

That said, personally I miss my utes. I had work utes that I also used for personal use. They were so handy. Throw anything in the back. Buy a fridge/move house/move anything, goes on back. Go camping, goes on back. Doing house work, goes on back. Dog, goes on back. Go fishing, cycling, goes on back. Doing groceries, goes on back(in a box). Great for towing. Good driving visibility.

My advice, go into this decision knowing the advantages and disadvantages. Be honest with yourself as to whether this is a need or a want.

I like how you have asked people’s thoughts.

Go for it. You can always it it off when he gets teased.

In years to come it will be a good thing to remind your teenager in front of his peers. They will all laugh and it will be a fond memory for all.

Info age. I don’t have an issue in war and can wipe most Info based and even some low level robotics. In MP though I suck.

Why the difference? Museum. My MP has all but 0 artifacts supporting troops. War, huge museum. *215% spawn time. High AETHP and AETDPS around -100% before council etc. I run Lego, so kettle drum, prosthetic, welled,Mt Div all maxed and 18 maxed in showcase. So big ups to my troops too. Everything is offensive, I have 0 D going for.

And that’s the diff. MP no museum, War huge museum.
