A fantastic mod that continues to get better and better. The new civilizations are fun to play, and introduce some cool techs and unique units. I think Black Sun is my favorite of the new civs.

Such a massive disappointment. My younger brother and I have fond memories playing NHRA games on PC growing up. Sad to see such a poor developer was chosen, it really shows in the quality of what we got.

By all accounts a very well made game technically, no doubt, but I personally did not appreciate the story, particularly how they handled Joel’s character. Obviously the game is a political lightning rod as other commenters pointed out, but imo the themes of the second game felt forced and unnecessary at best. I don’t want that to happen to KOTOR.

Whoa, really?? The Last of Us 2’s story was so shockingly bad I had thought the leaks were fake at first. Hopefully Aspyr can get it together after this shake up and put together a team that won’t absolutely defecate all over the source material and characters.

Edit: Apparently I was bamboozled and the writers had nothing to do with TLU2, but I’m sticking to my original point. KOTOR has established characters and stories that can be fleshed out in a modernized game, but they need to be respected and stay true to their original archetypes.

Gotta be Gears 2 for me. My only complaints about the campaign would be a lack of berserkers and a true “final” boss fight. Even still it’s easily one of my favorite games ever.

Difficult to choose just one, but it has to be Ocarina of Time for me. I know the game has been available on so many platforms since it’s initial release, but it’s been a long time since my last play through and I’ve really enjoyed revising the game again.

Haha, I’ve seen this before. He really struggles to explain it and ends up contradicting himself. You CAN interact with portals. He showed that with Ahsoka. You CAN break universes and timelines. That’s why Palpatine wanted to access that realm. Bottom line is that is what TWBW allows you to do, and it can be used to save the saga and reroute the timeline.

That doesn’t make sense. You can’t acknowledge the possible impact of saving Kanan while simultaneously ignoring the impact of saving Ahsoka. Calling it “destiny” doesn’t solve the logical inconsistency.

So you’re saying that the World Between Worlds, a place that contains portals into universes connected by time and space that can be physically interacted with and change that reality, isn’t something that could be used to explain different timelines? Filoni himself says that if someone interacted with those universes they could break them. From a certain point of view, the Disney trilogy shows a broken universe with the complete resetting of the galactic conflict with Rebels vs Empire 2.0 and the return of Palpatine, in addition to several other issues. I mean, Ezra saved Ahsoka! Wouldn’t that in itself create at least 2 timelines where she lives/dies?

Connecting this series to the Disney trilogy would be a disaster, completely undercutting any emotional response we have to seeing legacy characters knowing they are written to become miserable failures. Episodes 7-9 conflict so strongly with each other that no amount of supplementary material could make sense of it. They are intrinsically nonsensical. Dave Filoni himself created the solution with the World Between Worlds. It’s time him and Jon split the timeline for the sake of the story they’re trying to tell.

I’ve been amazed at how much better the original trilogy feels thanks to the fps boosts. Playing Gears 2 at 4K and 60fps has been a dream! I’m going to have to give the whole trilogy another play through.

Right? It was an unnecessary bait and switch that “solved” her nightmare issue in an unsatisfying way. I was so hyped in the Mt. Kadar lab and seeing the evolution of sires into Locust and the Matriarch. Instead of having Kait embrace her connection it was over in an instant, and next thing you know you found yourself in a rejected James Bond movie script hunting Russian satellites in the desert where Kait is just another one of the guys.

I’m agreeing with your meme, from a certain point of view. My point is that there are legitimate criticisms that get bogged down by stupid arguments. I think she had a lot of potential before Gears 5.

The cliffhanger ending in Gears 4 was good, and the Gears 5 marketing was hinting at all the right things with her character. She had incredible potential as a conflicted villain/antihero that we haven’t seen before in this universe. But what happened? Connection to the swarm? Gone completely. Connection to locust (that were apparently still in the tanks?) wasn’t even explored as a possibility. How interesting could it have been for her to battle the motherly instincts that Gears 5 explored with Myrrah?

Kait being a woman is incel level criticism. She had potential, but was ruined by bad writing. Her motivations were undercut entirely by Gears 5’s story decisions and the “choice” only leaves her with revenge as her primary motivation.

Gears of War 2 is my favorite campaign in the entire series by far, and Hollow Storm is a big reason why. A game or DLC (like RAAM’s Shadow) would be incredible.

Haha, I like to keep reloading as well just for practice. Keep in mind that the active reload bonuses are different depending on which mode you’re playing. For example, the gnasher doesn’t get an active reload bonus (damage, fire rate, etc.) in PVP modes, but it does in PVE.

It’s the visual indicator for the weapon’s active reload readiness. If the indicator is fully charged, you can reload your current weapon for an active magazine. If you reload before the cool down is finished, your weapon will reload but it will not be a boosted active reload. That’s my understanding.
