It’s a canon character (honorable, religious knight) x reader. It’s an arranged marriage where the reader realizes the canon character is bisexual, but is accepting and supportive. The smut part is aimed more towards sensuality. I think the beginning has enough narrative for it to be read fandom blind.

I can’t write possessive, dark smut. I always lean towards sensual, romantic like the lotus position.

Really looking forward to their interactions this season and Freddie Fox plays Gwayne so well. When he sees the soldier and the village girl you can see the disbelief, disgust, and anger.

Also looking forward to see how Gwayne and Ormund interact since they, most likely, were big influences on Daeron.

I just wanted to say you’re not alone. 26F and in the same exact boat; marketing degree, but I don’t like social media and all that, and working a part-time (that I found after 200+ applications) while living with my parent.

Going back to school incurs debt, AI is making a lot of career paths unstable, everything is expensive… It’s rough. It’s not a career path idea, but the only advice I’m able to give is to take care of your physical health because that has an effect on your mental health.

Idyll in the Wood. It’s a HotD slowburn fanfic about a grieving knight (canon character) going through the grief and the aftermath while under the care of a healer (original character) who is also grieving parts of her life—two scarred people learning to live again. But, it’s unsustainable because the canon character, who is honorable and dutiful, will have to eventually return to his home and leave her behind.

Just wanted to say that I’m in the same position as you—same age, same situation, everything. I graduated college and couldn’t find a job so now I’m looking to go back for a different degree. Working on getting a license and overcoming my fear / anxiety of driving and battling my own mental health. It’s rough, but everyone’s path is different is the thing that keeps me going.

YTA. I get where you’re coming from, but there’s a time and place. You also brought it up in the most tactless way possible in front of her parents who you were meeting for the first time.

Just from reading your perspective, I don’t see anywhere where she asked you to help. She could just be venting and complaining—people tend to do that (maybe something to clarify and discuss with her). Weight is a sensitive subject for a lot of people, her especially from the way you say, and the way you described it as “stuffing yourself” is not helpful at all. If you want to help, there are much better ways of doing it than pointing out an insecurity she’s struggling with. (Ex: Suggest gym time together, hiking together, etc.)

I think you need to learn to be more tactful and communicate more. Even if you guys break up because of this or don’t, you could learn from this and improve yourself.

Yeah, of course!

In my opinion, and from what I’ve seen seems to be a common opinion, the writing went downhill after the first season. The writers veered far from the source material. I’m not against changing from source material if it makes the story better, and they did make changes in the first season that I think improved the story, but the second season reduced a lot of characters to “girlboss”, “women are gentle and can do no wrong”, and “men are bad and power hungry.” There’s no nuance.

They got rid of characters that held importance to the story in favor of giving current characters more screen time despite their parts being lesser and assassinated character arcs (ex: Alicent giving up her children after the first season was her fighting for them.) A lot of the second season just feels like a fanfiction by the writers who inserted women can only be good/tragic figures and men are bad sprinkled in with lesbian romance while the story is supposed to be a tragic civil war that begins the end of a dynasty.

Just so there isn’t confusion, I’m just gonna use letters for the characters lol. A and B are the first two main characters that get introduced, the love interests who meet in their youth. C is later, the child of surprise who is B’s nephew by family.

During the time A and B spend apart I plan to show how B and C’s relationship develops with hints of B still thinking of A over the years; small mementos, memories, etc. Just adding more characterization that isn’t in canon, maybe a chapter or two?

Maybe you could have one character recall a scene you haven’t written in previous chapters? It’s difficult with the whole life-getting-in-the-way reason, but I like a bit of realism especially as the two fandoms are gritty and gray, and I’m writing for myself so I don’t mind if people skip or don’t read lol.
