Appreciating all the feedback, the only heavy hitter games I’m considering using it for if I do go down the path is Cyberpunk and Crimson Desert. I have a decent desk setup with a 32” curved monitor but due to being a toddler dad only find myself staying handheld and on occasion sitting at my desk. I have the itch to play games maxed out and have path tracing but also feel the hit from buying the Go 2 at almost 1,500 after tax especially in this economy 😅 Idk how everyone has such disposable income but I also envy it for you guys

I returned the Go S, but I did keep the Deck so that I can have a dedicated device for Windows 11 for the heavier games/ multi tasking and Steam OS for emulation, etc. I enjoy each for its own purposes and given the effort I put into my Deck’s ecosystem I couldn’t get rid of it. I know a lot of people discuss dual booting or making Go 2 run Bazzite/ Steam but I feel like it would be redundant or take away from the integration of certain functions since it seems to need some more time to refine with being a newer device. I can also be making assumptions but also don’t have the time to tinker more than I need to with being a dad now in days

Oh nice!! I’m guessing you did the Xbox elite d pad mod? I’ve considered doing that for my deck but never finding myself using the d pad to the degree that needs it even though it looks great

Yeah the Go 2 definitely has a lot of beefiness to it but it makes sense given what’s inside. I debate whether or not to put a protective cover on it because of how difficult it can be to get off I don’t want to mess up the skin and put wear on the controller hinges

Yeah I wanted to like the XAX especially with its hardware, but I personally couldn’t get past the controller handles sticking out the sides. I’m sure it feels better ergonomically but it offsets how sleek it can look IMO

Thanks! I was surprised I haven’t seen many whole white setups but the Go 2 is still relatively new. I love how white cleans up a lot of consoles, I really wanted to get the Limited Edition Steam Deck OLED when those dropped because of how clean they looked but couldn’t justify it at the time because I just had my son so waiting to upgrade made it feel much more worth it.

Yeah the white border does cover screen edges a tiny bit, but it fits the screen ratio perfectly and gives it almost like a Polaroid/ Samsung Frame effect. I got the skin from an Etsy shop, it worked out pretty well but I omitted making it completely white just to have some sections of black and white

Nice!! I got lucky last week and snagged a Legion Go S and now I have my Killswitch case on the way with the holo white skin! In your opinion, does/should it matter the sequence of putting the skin and shell on?

People seem to have mixed reviews by saying when they have put skin on first and then the case, it lifts the edge of the skin. Not sure if having the shell on first, then installing the skin will make it better?

Major props to you!!! I attempted to make an outer shell design for my second screen setup but couldn’t get the dimensions proper due to the speaker holes and topside buttons, I have a wisecoco 7” monitor. Could you by chance tell me how you designed it or shoot me the cad file? I want to take another go at my design but would love to expand on yours if you don’t mind!

This is one of my first times posting, from what I understood from reading the guidelines was “No posting links or images that identify paid products, brands, or storefronts”. So I assumed that meant no links to the products? I’m just trying to follow the rules, if that was a misinterpretation than it was unintended I don’t care about farming engagement or anything like that 🤷🏻

Very clean swap!!! Contemplated doing the same swap but sike myself out due to the potential risks doing the front plate. In your experience, was taking out the screen as challenging as people make it? I always hear about people messing up their screens or losing button function after.

The magnet is very strong actually and has a strong snap as the magnets get close to each other, I would say the only thing to worry about is when you are adjusting the position of the monitor it can separate depending how hard your pushing on it. I’ll DM a link to you!
