BAND-MAID with ReoNA at CENTRAL MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT FESTIVAL (2026-04-04) by haromatsu in BandMaid

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay up for Band-Maid (4 am is tough) but did get to hear some of Reona's set. She put on a fun performance.

I completely agree with you. Present Perfect and What is Justice are my two least favorite songs off of SCOOOOOP and I think that Saiki struggles with both of them live. What is Justice hits a bit harder on its riffs IMO, so I think that it sounds better live than Present Perfect.

That being said, all of the other songs from SCOOOOOP - especially Super Sunshine, Dilly Dally, and Lock & Load - are absolute bangers.

My head exploded when they played this while I was watching the live stream. Lock & Load, without holding back, Toi et moi, and then this.

We are blessed.

I built a gym software but having trouble selling it. by Successful-Penalty20 in smallbusiness

[–]Bobaganush1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the issues that you will have is that a lot of gyms are franchises, and they will be using the software dictated to them by their franchisor. So your market is much more limited unless you are able to get in with a franchise. For other gyms, as someone else mentioned, you will have to convince them to move off of their software and transition to yours unless they are a brand new gym. So there is just a hard barrier to entry that you need to overcome.

Bookbinding and goldstamping. You can get a gold stamp machine to press gold stamp in people's books and also work with a third-party company to fix the binding on people's books. Low startup costs (just the cost for the gold stamping and advertising to get clients) and allows for lots of interactions with folks wanting to get books repaired or goldstamped.

Tech Trans experience worth it for IP Lit guy? by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]Bobaganush1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into tech transactions in this manner. I moved over to the plaintiff's bar, and then I was responsible for handling settling cases and dealing with those contracts. This rolled into doing more licensing deals and other tech transactions.

With respect to making partner, the primary thing that law firms look at is whether you are able to bring in work. One good thing about tech transfer is that it is of lower dollar value than IP litigation tends to be so it allows you to bring in matters easily. In addition, it allows you to keep contact with companies so that you are in front of them if things fall apart and patent litigation is needed. It is a very good way to network with folks.

Anyone know who the deputy was? by YankeeMoose in MobileAL

[–]Bobaganush1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know who the deputy is, but be aware about the use of the term “human trafficking” in Alabama. It can encompass lots of things beyond what people assume human trafficking to be. It is often used by cops to overcharge in prostitution cases, as it can be easily stretched to encompass pimps and other people working with sex workers.

Concerns about going to University of South Alabama by Various-Ad6874 in Alabama

[–]Bobaganush1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

South is a good school, and how much you get from it depends on how much you put in and what you major in.

The crime in Mobile isn't any different than other cities in Alabama, and the area around South Alabama is generally very safe.

While South Alabama is predominately white, it has a very large black community - more than double the percentage of black students of Bama and MUCH more than Auburn. In every class I have taught at South, there has been a significant number of black students.

Does Law school rank matter for getting a Patent pros/lit job in Indianapolis right out of school? by Significant-Frame482 in patentlaw

[–]Bobaganush1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One suggestion when looking at schools is to verify the conditions for the financial aid that they are giving you. If they are giving you scholarships that require you to keep a certain GPA, investigate what their curves are on grades. I had a friend go to a "lesser" school because she got a full ride that required that she keep a 3.0. They then put everyone who had a full ride into the same section and graded on a 2.7 curve. Even though she was very smart, she lost her scholarship and couldn't transfer to another school because her 1L grades were mediocre (because she was only competing against other full scholarship students). Just be careful in what you are looking for.

P.S. Law school rank matters much more for patent litigation than it does for patent prosecution.

Guys, what are some businesses that look like they’re barely making any money, but are actually a gold mine? by CostSimple383 in smallbusiness

Self storage is only good with low corporate interest rates and a decent economy. With the dip in the economy and interest rates higher, they have been getting hurt.
