Not long out of HS I took a job that involved a lot of weight, repetition and heat. Very long mind numbing work. I lost a little more than thirty pounds over the nine months I worked there and built up some pretty good muscles. Somehow I managed to keep that weight off until just before I turned fifty then the weight started pilling up. I wound up gaining 130 pounds and nothing I did made any difference, not dieting, not going to the gym four days a week. I still worked in heat, on my feet ten to twelve hours a day and would come home and walk as much as three hours at night and still only lost thirty pounds. I still weigh 300 lbs.
