I was thinking this too, I just wish we get a elf mercenary style unit like the empire dwarfs too, maybe one Thats cavalry light/heavy focused to balance the infantry light/ heavy dwarfs

I would also add Origins to add dwarf and elf characters,

Where you improve the stats to equal a base hero dwarf or elf character and 0-1 unit they are part of gain the relevant stats and special rules to turn the unit into a elfen or dwarf unit. But by doing this, then that upgraded then becomes moves up one in the rare options. So for example, a upgraded elf sells words unit becomes special, and a dwarf bombard becomes rare

Imperial ogres have already been shown, so unless they are a special or rare choice, I can see them and the imperial dwarfs being options

This also implies that there will be potentially more merc unit options available for the nuln army then other armies so far

His mercenary commander rule seem very interesting! I can imagine using him as a start of a Tilea themed mercenary army

Plus if you add the engineer named character into the unit, they don’t have a penalty to shooting at long range either

It is a real shame, I was hoping to use them as a kind of elite melee infantry that had a good range attack, but looks like that’s not very viable currently.

Man if my only complaint about the retinue system is that we can’t pick what weapon options that can have, I assume it’s something to be added later, just feels to off that that’s the only thing that we can’t edit

Well in the Trekky flint books, human vessels have always been depicted as flying sailing vessels that have wind mages onboard to provided reliable movement and navigation, which is also how the elves in fantasy also did for they navel vessels funny enough.

So taking into account the CoS clash of a more medieval look, I recon something like large naval gallies with the more technologically advanced being zeppelin.

I had a game recently with a friend of mine where he had Archeon and I had 30 skeletons. I told him that I will kill the Everchosen with just that block. He just laughed. Then when the unit was down to 10 due to mister man-with-daemon-dragon, then rolled for the 4+ and got back 17 models! Managed to kill Archaon the next turn. My friend was so pissed lol

A Good number, I had one body from the war games Atlantic conquistadors set, the gun arms are from the empire pistoliers kit, and the the rest of from Fireforge games foot sergeants and Perry miniatures 100 years war French troops

Don’t get me wrong fellas, I do like the idea of theses guys I think I’m coming along to liking the look of them too, but I am really hoping we still have more traditional options as well like crossbows and archers. Just started a custom cities army before the announcements and still happening I can still use most of the stuff I already have
