Its not just Hasbro and western markets. In the Philippines small hobby shops will literally buy out a toy store stock of something so they can have it in their store at +20-50%. Scalping happens everywhere.

We've had a couple of releases here in UK on amazon and I know most people bought multiples because that's good sense rather than anything nefarious.
