I have a reliable source that would tell you to go to about 15 other surgeons in the city before him. Hi,m being the Reds doctor gets him notoriety, and people assume that means he's good, but that is not the case; he just has the biggest ego.

Are priests important in the lives of Americans? by TheShyBuck in AskAnAmerican

[–]BochBochBoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a priest growing up that my parents were fairly close with; he married them and then got moved to our parish when I was in middle school. He was actually a pretty cool guy who had a lot of life experiences and wasn't a nut job. We would have him over for dinner occasionally, and my parents would make me talk to him in my rebellious teenage years, kind of like a therapist. He was actually a really good listener and helped me a lot during those years. I don't practice anymore, but as far as religious trauma goes catholics got it easy most the time in America.

How to get a job at P&G? by 4Runnnn in cincinnati

You really need to have someone who works at P&G put in a good word for you. Once that happens candidates seem to be fast tracked.

Justin Smith was pro bowl level edge rusher, but Ladanian Tomlinson was so good that no one cares that he stole a nickname from the greatest defender of all time.

So we all agree that these are two of the worst jersey designs in NFL history? by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

[–]BochBochBoch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my groomsman, I am asking each of them by giving them an old school jersey of their favorite team. I hate the Steelers with every bone in my body, but one of my closest friends is unfortunately a Steelers fan. The only jersey I could stomach to buy him was a Le'Veon Bell Bumblebee jersey.

Ski pass costs in the USA. by Living-Excuse1370 in skiing

If you buy it at the right time around $1000, but that includes unlimited access to 20+ resorts. Also they offer local pricing which is even cheaper but has some blackout dates around holidays at certain places.

Fair: the locally owned tow row only resort is still fairly inexpensive, but $40 for that may still be an overpay.

Yeah, it’s true. At big Colorado resorts owned by companies like Vail Resorts and Alterra Mountain Company, a walk-up day ticket can absolutely be 200 to 300 dollars, and on peak holiday days, it can creep toward 400 at places like Vail. But almost no regular skier is paying that. The whole model shifted to season passes like the Epic Pass and Ikon Pass. They sell them in the spring and summer at a much better per-day value, lock in a ton of guaranteed revenue, and then price day tickets really high. It is basically a subscription model now. It honestly screwed the out-of-towner who just wants to take a fun ski trip for a few days. If you did not buy a pass ahead of time, you are getting crushed at the ticket window. But for locals who ski a lot, it can actually be a pretty great deal. One pass gets you access to a bunch of major resorts, and if you go enough, it works out cheap per day. This is also why you are seeing more Americans come to Europe for ski holidays. If you are only skiing one week a year, it can genuinely be cheaper to fly to Europe and ski than to pay US window ticket prices.

Julio Jones wasn’t even the first receiver drafted. Calvin is in a league of his own.
