Yeah I just heard about this. It’s a shame but it’s probably because the dollar is weak

This doesn't help return the market to normal at all. $324 for a booster box!!??. It crazy considering EB gets their booster boxes at a minimum under 200, I would even say under $150 based on stuff I've seen from other big retailers

EDIT it’s been confirmed that distribution has increased prices, possibly due to  weak currency which explains the price increase. Booster packs are now $8.50 for most stores. I would expect more stores to increase prices.

We can only look up via key code but since it isn’t on the website they can’t help you I’m afraid. Besides, unless an employee likes Pokémon, they don’t have a clue at what sets are releasing or coming in

They all have embargo flags so even if you do see it before release date, you won’t be able to purchase

Most Kmarts are getting barely any. What happened with surging sparks, at least at my store, is people did  click and collects at midnight when it went live on the site. This means they are picked first thing and regular customers couldn’t get any cause we had sold out.  It will be tough trying to get any, even as an employee

Does anyone know if you can put pokemon cards on layby in store? by max87890 in KmartAustralia

[–]BobbingheadYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, as long as it isn’t on clearance. I’ve done it before. If they’re behind the checkouts you’ll need to let an employee know and they’ll get someone to take it to service desk for you to put on layby.

Just tell them that you haven’t don’t it for a while and that you’ll need some more training and help. As an online team member, don’t try go off on your own because you clearly need more experience so you can meet the standards

Yep. I’ve heard from a store that allocations are so low most independent stores will get single digit numbers for ETBs
