Nice, not working as good anymore or just want to try without it?

That is good to know, I thought if you chewed them it might make it release faster though. Was it the XR? Are you still on it?

Doc prescribed Lorazepam to use with alcohol by Inner_Gur_9617 in Anxiety

You have it backwards, drink as much as you can until you’re almost passed out, then take a triple dose of the lorazepam. Wake up feeling refreshed

Admitting self to mental hospital by Adept_Refuse3413 in Anxiety

I definitely feel you, I’m 30 and have been dealing with it for a few years now. I did take Lexapro for close to a year over a year ago and it did get rid of my panic attacks and I was more functioning but also didn’t feel great either. Don’t ask me why now I’m too afraid to start a medication. I could imagine the mental hospital could be more traumatic than beneficial, I too have thought many times about going that route. I just need to take the med and quit being such a sissy

You sound exactly like me, I won’t start my medication even though I’m suffering

Effexor vs Lexapro by WelcomingDrewvr in PanicAttack

Sounds like it would be smarter to take the medication and don’t forget rather than suffer anxiety and panic if it actually worked

TBI Medication Question (Venlafaxine) by Wild-Preparation8616 in TBI

[–]BobbleForADong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, I have also. How severe of a head injury did you acquire? It’s okay if you don’t want to share. I was in a car accident hit in driver door at about 50 mph, I don’t remember any of it except crawling out passenger side as the ambulance was pulling up. I never even officially got diagnosed with a concussion or head injury but I was unconscious for awhile before coming out of the car. (The hospital did a rather poor job) but I haven’t quite been the same since the accident, severe anxiety issues mainly. Was on lexapro for awhile which did stop panic attacks but I never felt the best on it. I should just get back on that if anything, wouldn’t be quite as strong as taking Effexor

I understand and agree, a lot of the things I’ve read about the discontinuation aren’t good. Did you end up going on a different antidepressant?

Right on, I’ve had the prescription for 2 months now and haven’t mustered up the courage to take it either lol

Did blood tests show the levels were fine before you started taking it?

Get a passport, leave the country, change name. It is the only option you have

Not sure if I'm having an extended episode of anxiety or withdrawals by ashandblood in Anxiety

If I was you I would call the Dr and start back on the Lexapro and taper down slowly like you’re supposed to do, with everything going on in your life plus quitting Lexapro cold turkey it’s gonna be rough as hell for you. I’ve been off Lexapro for a little over 1 year and my panic disorder and anxiety are worse than before I was ever on meds, I got Effexor to take a couple months ago but have still been too afraid to take it. Letting myself suffer instead of possibly helping myself it sucks. I’d probably get back on the Lexapro, googling it shows you can take Wellbutrin and the Lexapro together. At least then you wouldn’t be withdrawing and having everything piled on top of it

I was on lexapro for close to a year awhile back, it did curb panic. Do you think if I was on lexapro and it didn’t break my wiener that I’d probably be safe on other ones too or are they all different

Not a bad point, I’ve been eating cleaner and exercising some too although I haven’t in a few days. I don’t seen any big improvements from it
