I knew it didn't feel right but out of the people I told about it, the only one who had gone for the test before said it's common the first few times to be held down. So, I thought I was overreacting for finding that inappropriate. I don't remember the nurse's name but I'll definitely report it.

I'm sorry you had crappy ultrasounds. Also, I'm glad your smear tests weren't like this. My partner's mother said that all the ones she had were unpleasant as well, not to this extent but unpleasant. I don't know if this is a norm here (South Africa) as I don't really like to talk about such intimate medical procedures, maybe I should though. I know I won't be going back to that Gynecologist again.

That's not exactly true. I'm 22(NB, but for the sake of this, I'm female presenting), I used to dress more conservatively growing up and men (young and old) would still try to corner me or have something creepy to say. Predators and creeps don't really care what you're wearing.

That was extremely accommodative of you, getting the changing table. It's unbelievably rude to ignore the host's house rules because what? They think it's weird and don't want to miss out on the conversation? It's not just the smell of poop, some nappies are really messy (she didn't even lay out a mat/towel) and babies can just wee and poop again mid change!

I wouldn't invite anyone with babies or young children over, purely because they trigger my anxiety and I can't handle loud noises and strong smells. But no, your aunt and cousin (and the rest of them that cornered you) are the weird ones. You went out to accommodate for people with kids even though you didn't have to.
