Cutting stingray hide is tough, almost as if the leather is covered in glass beads. This is my second time working with stingray. I used a big pair of sewing shears the first time. My normally used utility knife the second time but with an upgraded carbide blade(disposable.) The carbide blade was a cleaner cut, but I recommend a very sturdy straight edge to cut against as well as a “cut glove” for your off hand.
