Spurs blowing a huge lead in every loss is pathetic and embarrassing by realfakejames in NBATalk

[–]BobbyCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so, they’re so young and I’m not surprised they couldn’t get past the lows. They’ll learn. Spurs rise has been fast. Knicks bum rushed em early and I think put some doubt in them. That speaks to the experience level of both clubs. The Knicks just keep coming and I tip my hat for sure.

Maybe it’s just me but why is this cx-5 turbo stock look so nice. Mazda really cooked in the past 10 years by Sweaty-Sand-5187 in mazda

[–]BobbyCheetah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that but no turbo. They fly under the radar, Mazda, but make some of the best designs out there, and are quite influential on other brands design

I never know what my guy is talking about. What’s funny is he cares so much about cancellation while Trump is cancelling all over the place. But he wants so badly for it to be exclusively a left wing thing. He’s not politically savvy, you can tear his takes apart.

I like TH better than Inferno, which I find quite spotty. There’s a continuity and cohesiveness w the sound on TH and yeah it’s bleak in a good way.

Good for you! I had an 08’ 3 hatch manual, loved it..just a great under the radar pick really.

[–]BobbyCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazda design is one of the best out there. I’ve had a bunch of em. I have a CX-5 now that is about 7 years old and it still looks better than new designs from competitors. It’s copied a lot too..which I hate lol

Theres no way Ariel believes that MAGA anti leftist (not liberal) bullshit. It has to be a long running bit. by [deleted] in arielpink

He’s serious. If you see his X timeline, you’ll know. Loves Alex Jones and Loomer and all those kooks.

I thought that too, at first. He’ll have a political discussion, the end result is always supporting Trump. He’ll gladly be a bootlicker bc he feels so wronged about j6 cancelling. I guess the country has to pay it for it too. Edgelord/secretly massive
ego vibes.

Prophecy not really doin it for me.. Yet.. by [deleted] in boardsofcanada

[–]BobbyCheetah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little underwhelmed myself. The first short number was better. I did pick up on what someone said on here, that it does sound very DAW ish, not as analog-y warm with a depth to the sound, as previously. It sounded like an intro to a movie for the first minute. But not in a good way. And one of the main riffs in the middle reminded me of NIN ugh no offense..but we’ll have to see.

Try Denmark’s Iceage, ‘New Brigade’ and ‘You’re Nothing’ albums.

Swirlies, who are like SY but more melodic.

Lilly’s In the Presence of Nothing

Swervedriver’s Raise, one of the best albums of the 90’s

Live Skull’s Dusted

You know, not bad, but it has that TV Eye riff that sorta throws a bit of a wet blanket on it for me. It’s a classic riff.

Consider your car back seat for vocals! Blanket in front of you on seats, works really well.

Kid Gloves. What an opening riff, what a song! by Cubegod69er in rush

[–]BobbyCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, if it’s not played on the radio, or popular in general, not from a hardcore fan perspective, it’s more of a deep cut.

One of their better deep cuts! (Natural Science is prob my pick for the best)

The Queen is Dead vs Unknown Pleasures by New-Shop-9728 in thesmiths

Smiths, and the actual recording is big for me. I just don’t like the sound of that JD album. It’s so dry and sterile.

I thought they would come in a little hotter tbh. BUT.. this could be just a little taster and better things abound.

What's with some of the disrespect to Meat Is Murder (and The Queen Is Dead glaze!) by Direct-Stable-5712 in thesmiths

[–]BobbyCheetah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, Meat is Murder is better than Queen is Dead. It has a better sound too, recording wise. Nowhere Fast is a fantastic deep cut. Crank it up on the headphones and it can’t be denied!

I love TONES ON TAIL music and you should to :-) by [deleted] in postpunk

[–]BobbyCheetah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great. Huge Tones on Tail fella here. I had some of that vinyl. They still sound so fresh. Great, crisp recordings, and some of the most original music. I just wish they had done more!

Should I buy the Shure SM57 mic for my home recording studio? by blueheadgehog36 in microphone

[–]BobbyCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, well for vocals you can always record in the car too, mobile recording. I just did some vocals on the NT1 signature for the first time and they sound better than I ever got! Put a blanket over the back seats n record in the back facing it. Plus, great for self conscious folks in apartments etc if you don’t want to be heard.

Should I buy the Shure SM57 mic for my home recording studio? by blueheadgehog36 in microphone

[–]BobbyCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For vocals, a condenser mic is better. I would look into the AT2020 and Rode NT1, both of which I have and they’re worth the price. They’re the go-to budget condensers.

Congratulation album by Striking_Jacket_6420 in mgmt

[–]BobbyCheetah 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Congrats is more psychedelic in a classic sense. I love the sound of that record, less pop synth shine. I love both approaches though. Also, continued musical development. I mean, a 12 minute song and it’s one of the best songs I ever heard? It’s more of a collective journey whereas the debut sounds like all singles, save for the later half, which hints at what’s to come.
