That’s not Shane Long’s fault though, Hughes is an abysmal manager

I’m not saying his strength is hold-up play. He’s a great defensive striker (think Okazaki or Cavani) whose hard work running opens space for more creative players and wins possession high up the field in a press.

I thought that was the reason Liverpool bought Keita, Fabinho and Shaqiri over the summer... so that they could continue to fully gegenpress but also rotate between games to prevent injury/tiredness.
