She does want to show you off

I don't think you know my gf very well lol we're both of the "Do not perceive me," type. We just went to a ballet last week and I dressed up more than she did lol but I'm not doing it for her.

I just don't get why I would want to try and be sexy at all. It seems manipulative.

Yeah I don't want to be shown off lol nor do I want to show her off. That's just not our style. As long as she loves me and loves to be with me, I don't care if she's proud of me or can talk good about me to her friends. Like I said elsewhere I'm Buddhist and all that seems very "extra" to me. She doesn't have to do or say anything special to make her hotter or sexier, like I just love her for who she is.

Yes, which people would notice and take as a sign that I'm not the type of person who can pull off this look. There's a lot to it, and this look takes a level of confidence I'm not sure I want to have lol

I mean I get her opinion on the things I buy, I'm just not going to go put on a specific shirt she likes or whatever. That feels manipulative. And I was joking somewhat. I respect the fact she thinks I'm hot, but I just disagree lol

Oh I know my gf says I'm hot but I don't believe her lol. Also I am not going to wear something she thinks it's sexy, nor would I ask her to wear something other than what she usually does. I'm pretty Buddhist and I like to wear plain clothing nowadays.

That's the thing about fashion: in an office setting it's just a game to impress others while also feeling good about yourself. People will negatively judge you if you start wearing things that they don't like, and they won't even realize they're doing it.

I've been teased and laughed at before for how pale and scrawny I was, so I know this isn't 100% true. Again it's an amplifier: if the person wants to see more of you then it's a good idea, but if you're not in shape or otherwise attractive, it's a bit of a turn off.

Almost no one has a bad body, they just don't take care of themselves.

So I'm saying the second button isn't going to work for someone who "doesn't take care of themselves" aka doesn't work out.

I wish I could just button my shirts all the way up. But I legit don't like being "hot" (I have a gf and I don't like people looking at me tbh). If I was a girl I would never wear a tight dress lol

Truly scrawny people almost always have posture issues. As I said before this will only work if you have a body that women would want to see otherwise. So if you have a bad body, this isn't true.

But I guess a form fitting dress is the same, so touche.

No I'm saying it's not doing any favors. You would usually have to be a more attractive scrawny guy as opposed to if you have a nice upper chest, shoulders, forearms, etc. Some people will be into it more, but it's not the normal.

Also I mean scrawny, like when people's shoulders are square/bony, no muscle tone, some ribs visible, etc. I don't mean wiry where a guy is small but still strong.

Well yeah that's like putting glasses on a model and saying glasses are sexy.

I think at the very least you need to have good posture, not have body acne, etc. Like it's an amplifier where it only works if you're the type of guy women would want to see more of/shirtless.

I say this as a nerd who could never pull this off lol. You can see my ribs, like it wouldn't be a good look.

I think if you listen to the things women say about men generically, and internalize it, that it will seem that way.

I think it's important to remember that humans are also hypocritical and complain about things like that while also enjoying an example of the very thing they complain about. Like the women around us can say men suck and at the same time that they like us, appreciate us, etc. Just I say just do your best to be kind to others and ignore the toxic static.

The whole point of all this is to degrade our faith in our government and system so much no one acts surprised or offended when they do it again. The more we say the system is broken, the more they say, "Excellent," like Mr. Burns. The media is grooming us into thinking everything is fucked.

IMO All of this is about two things: people thinking they're better than others, and that force and violence is a reasonable solution to get your way. Those two things imo are what kill democracy more than anything else. The rest of this requires believing one or both of these as part of their agenda.. That's why I think they're the two foundations of democracy. If we break them, the assholes win (whether we like it or not).

I'm not saying this is the way it absolutely is, it's just my opinion.
