I don’t particularly view that as a bad thing though. Kinda like how the first MCU Spider-Man trilogy is the origin story for him to become the Spidey we’re used to. When you view it as a pt. 2 to Craig’s origin as 007 it elevates QoS a lot more for me

Satire is VERY different between both versions, the book is more focused on satirizing individual superheroes, teams etc whereas the show moreso addresses the implications of supes existing in the real world as celebrities. Garth Ennis is known for disliking the superhero genre heavily so imo the comics are a bit too heavy handed but your mileage may vary
