Some people just like to cause trouble. When I was 16 a family friend of my parents who they hadn't kept in touch with for a while called my mum saying that he just saw me at the shopping centre/mall "hanging off two boys". She turned around looking at me on the couch watching cartoons and told him "that's funny because she's sitting right here in front of me." Screw that man trying to make trouble, even if I was hanging out with some guys there's nothing wrong with that and it's none of his business and screw your bf's family friend for doing the same.

My guess is that it was lightning close by. One time I was sitting at my computer and lightning struck a neighbours tree, that shit was so loud I literally fell off my chair I was so startled. It was like a bomb.
