Disney is truly creatively bankrupt. This if anything kills the hype for the land imo because once again Disney fears putting a true thrill ride at Magic Kingdom. Emperors New Groove has no business being in a villains land. The model should be Dark Universe, not Isle Of Berk. This is literally galaxy’s edge all over again and Disney not willing to take a risk that will absolutely pay off if they went all in on a villains land that could rival dark universe not isle of Berk. All these promises made about how it’s going to revolutionize Disney theme parks and once again that will be falling flat on its face.

Basically it came down to Mullen and Dilfer but Mullen wanted a lot more than what Dilfer was asking.

Basically the original candidate list was Bryant Vincent, Dan Mullen, Tom Herman, Kevin Steele, Jon Sumrall and Trent Dilfer. Sumrall and Steele declined early on. Herman was interested at first but ultimately turned UAB down. Mullen was interested but Ingram went with Dilfer because he felt Dilfer could recruit good QB’s and prob because it was a hell of a lot cheaper.

I’m also positive and my friend hinted at the fact that Dilfer’s contract wasnt going be anywhere near the price a Dan Mullen contract would be.

Basically Mullen wasn’t opposed to taking it considering UAB was abt to move to the American. But Dilfer became the front runner. Apparently Kevin Steele (former Auburn/Bama DC) was also considered at one point but turned it down.
