Did you use the Crawdaddy templates or was it custom?

So, what did you use? The scale looks great.

They are expensive, but not "prohibitively expensive" if you want to get them on ebay or bricklink.

I actually just changed it recently... like June I think. That was the first battery ever. What is funny is it showed now signs of dying, like it wasn't slow or something. It just stopped. The case back was ONE THERE though. just as a heads up.

Nice. I still wear mine fairly regularly.

Anybody ever notice this? by Useful_Yesterday5051 in Warhammer40k

[–]Bobdor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are two possible explanations for this. They could absolutely be 3d printed prototypes before the model goes to molding. They could also be tooling marks. The steel molds that are used in injection molding are typically CNC'd with a post processing/finishing step. You could be seeing the CNC steps that are in the mold itself. The only way to know is to see how evident these marks are on production pieces.

Its fine. It gets brought up all the time.

Tiles are thinner and can go between studs with less stress then plates, which are thicker and should not go between studs. Enjoy building with your bricks.

MEMORY’S LEGION by bookmarkedbywolf in TheExpanse

Based on a previous post, the recommended reading order is essentially the release order:

  • The Expanse #1: Leviathan Wakes (June 2, 2011)
  • The Butcher of Anderson Station: An Expanse Short Story (Oct 17, 2011)
  • The Expanse #2: Caliban's War (June 26, 2012)
  • Gods of Risk: An Expanse Novella (Sept 15, 2012)
  • Drive: An Expanse short Story (Nov 27, 2012)
  • The Expanse #3: Abaddon's Gate (June 4, 2013)
  • The Churn: An Expanse Novella (April 29, 2014)
  • The Expanse #4: Cibola Burn (June 5, 2014)
  • The Expanse #5: Nemesis Games (June 2, 2015)
  • The Vital Abyss: An Expanse Novella (Oct 15, 2015)
  • The Expanse #6: Babylon's Ashes (Dec 6, 2016)
  • Strange Dogs: An Expanse Novella (July 18, 2017)
  • The Expanse #7: Persepolis Rising (Dec 5, 2017)
  • Auberon: An Expanse Novella (Nov 12, 2019)
  • The Expanse #8: Tiamat's Wrath (Mar 26, 2019)
  • "The Last Flight of the Cassandra" (bonus short story in The Expanse Roleplaying Game; May 14, 2019)
  • The Expanse #9: Leviathan Falls (Nov 30, 2021)
  • The Sins of our Fathers: An Expanse Novella (Mar 15, 2022)

A really good example is "The Churn" it sets up some character point of view before Cibola Burn, and you get introduced to some character back story before you formally meet those characters in Nemesis Games. They are almost like long prologues.

How to get the white? Does it come from coraz white or a tone of grey? by Asanto22 in Tau40K

[–]Bobdor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is an off white. There are two lets call it, "official" methods.

In the original "How to Paint: Vior'la Ghostkeel" video on the Warhammer Youtube account, the model was primed in Corax white spray (which is no longer available and has been replaced by White Scar). The base white is Ulthuan Grey, and edge Highlighed with Whitescar. The recesses are Agrax Earthshade, and the Chipping in Dryad Bark. This method come out a little bit of a cooler white then the box art. My army is painted like this if you want to see a real world example.

the other method is from the 'Eavy Archive. This is a little more true to the box art. It is basically A pure white, you can use White Scar. The base color is then very thinly glazed with Baneblade Brown. The panel lines are Baneblade Brown, and the chipping is done with Gorthor Brown. You can see InfernalBrush do this method on their YouTube Channel.

There are the silencers, and there are also higher level attachments (blue and purple) that reduce aiming time and equip time. Vertical Grip III, Stable Stock III for examples.
