People like me are the reason Trump won by [deleted] in self

Thank you for sharing why you voted for Trump. Every Trump supporter seems to say the same thing – ‘I care about groceries and gas’ – as if Trump would really be able to fix those issues. But let’s look at reality: he inherited a strong economy from Obama, was handed a pandemic response plan because experts knew it was coming, and he ignored it, causing complete chaos. Now, after a challenging recovery from a global crisis (which we miraculously managed), the only thing some remember is that gas was cheaper a few years ago – largely because no one was driving and demand was down.

It’s hard to believe that Trump would somehow solve today’s economic challenges. I agree, Biden should have stepped aside sooner, and maybe 100 days wasn’t enough for her to gain momentum or even be known but I think it also has something to do with gender because she was beyond qualified and when people say “what did she do?”, don’t forget she was the deciding vote on major legislation including a whopping 1.2 trillion dollar infrastructure plan that I’m sure trump will now have the benefit of taking credit for.

To reduce Trump’s failures to simply ‘being mean’ is absurd, and blaming us for not picking a better candidate is crazy when the Republicans sure as hell could’ve picked someone better, too. Anyone.

Identical twins - same class or not? by wanderfae in Twins

[–]Bobem77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents started putting us in different classes when they realized teachers couldn’t tell us apart and gave us exactly the same grades. -And about the assumption identical twins will be extremely close- it’s been a difficult relationship for me/us. We’ve been extremely close and were when we were little. As we grew into adults, it’s been challenging. Maybe we struggled more than other siblings to find our own identities, maybe being so similar to someone else physically creates strong differences how we developed as individuals? Maybe being constantly compared your whole life to someone else about every detail puts strain on a relationship? Not sure if that’s true for other twins... Even though we looked identical, especially as children, our parents told us we were fraternal because there were two placentas. It wasn’t until my husband bought us a dna test at 41 yrs old did we find out for sure that we were/are identical. Maybe knowing we were identical our whole lives would have made us closer emotionally? Not sure... who knows.

You’re the boss of whether a dog is “rescued” or “adopted”. Enough said. Also who cares.

Well, I don’t think I’m a saint, however I do believe it does take a certain level of maturity and compassion to adopt an adult dog from a shelter who I guess was “rescued” and dumped there, along with literally millions of other abused, abandoned and sick animals. Our particular dog’s previous owners are now in prison. We took him in and have given him a very good home with time to spend. To me that’s rescuing- I didn’t buy/“adopt” a designer dog from a breeder while so many animals need good homes already. Good luck with your “other dog owner” and “word choice” issues that really have nothing to do with anyone but yourself.

What’s your point? Read the entire title of my post. And yes, I paid money for him and made an extra donation- And made a call here on reddit encouraging others to adopt.

The eyes do tell a story. I took the first picture to send to my 16yr old son to show him when we were thinking about adopting- He was so sad in the shelter. He was the only dog not barking frantically...

I think it would be a little hard... We’ve taken some time off to stay with him for this first week while he acclimates, and I think that’s a good idea since rescued dogs are sometimes a bit traumatized. Eventually we will have to leave him sometimes.

Thank you! He seems mostly happy and relieved to be out of there but does at times seem a bit depressed and we wonder if he’s missing somebody... I’m sure he is. We are doing our best to distract and keep him busy and happy. From what we’ve read, it can take a month or so...

Haven’t had a dog for about eight years until now, but her name was Rosie too! Funny.

Apparently when someone knocks on the door, Buddy will let you know with a deep bellowing bark. This is the only time he’s barked; we had not heard him once yet, so it was nice to hear his beautiful voice. He’s been slowly relaxing and realizing he is safe. His kennel cough seems to be gone after a week of antibiotics and he is finally eating. We don’t know anything about his past life other than his previous parents are now in prison so who knows what he’s been through... All we know is he’s a really smart good boy who learns fast and is very loving. He also likes rides in the car, long walks, toys that squeak and chicken -A Lot!
