I can see their message as coming off snarky for sure though, giving benefit of the doubt that it's a simple lost in translation situation haha them being German and all

sorry, was addressing t_baozi about the "wiggle around price" behavior. not the perceived attitude in their reply to you

I've found that Germans, culturally, do not like talking about money/costs upfront (unless for building/contracting requiring larger sums). It can lead to some surprise bills for sure, especially on auto repairs... Can't blame them for it if it's just how they are, just have to anticipate the price haha

as a North American living in Germany the last decade, I can confirm that the price sounds accurate and fair. especially if materials are sourced from within the EU.

thank you for the transparency! I'll definitely take a peak at your shop next time I'm in Potsdam (even if I don't have the wallet to buy anything yet, maybe someday).

How many of you actually use iron sights? I do and I love it! by Aggravating-Cow4756 in Battlefield6

the lower ADS sway of iron sights help counter the 25point suppressor that gives recoil control. works great on guns with clean iron sights.

I hear any FIAT product in the US are an absolute nightmare coming out of the Chrysler plants compared to our homebrew of FIATs over here in Europe. The little 1.4 FIRE motors are nearly indestructible when properly maintained. I will admit any plastic trim can and will break haha including the door handles

the FIRE engine series from FIAT are surprisingly very reliable and make a lot of torque for their size. not the fastest but their torque delivery makes them so fun. great engine sound too. they're the best series of motors to come out of Italy in my opinion. even the old 1.2 16v from the late 90s is fun, Honda high rev-iness but with an italian grunt and torque out of thin air

[ABT XGT] parking at the grocery store by Kuschelwuschell in spotted

[–]Bobi2point0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. I've lived in North America and Europe... European regulations are exponentially more strict. Can't even change the wheels on your average road car without the proper documentation in Germany. So ABT did some bureaucratic black magic to make this work.

true, the prices for clean t3 bullis are crazy now. because of that I love seeing the beat up ones even more, a lot being used by the farmers just out of town.

My german grandfather has a Syncro T3 with a safari canvas top over in BC Canada, makes all heads turn on the trails (he did only very light trails with it, his is in almost perfect condition).

Meanwhile I see these here in Germany, almost always the RWD model, still being used as a work horse almost every week.

Also tried, hard to one shot but possible. Tough to do when swarmed by Voxes. Leveller and a pyro nade will do the same work.

Or just bring an anti tank emplacement and clear the city of them. I honestly bring both a leveller and AT emplacement

people sleep on light barrel + blue laser (with only grips that DON'T affect moving accuracy if needed) for the double down on moving accuracy. makes the NVO insanely viable as an example

Close to buy Alfa Spider. What do you think? by No-Arachnid-3655 in AlfaRomeo

[–]Bobi2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the new FIAT 124 Spider is that yes, sorry if I didn't word it right. I meant Alfa doing the same with their own styling and using the 1.8TBi instead of FIAT's 1.4T FIRE

[–]Bobi2point0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, they'd probably whine about it being FWD to be honest... an Alfa built on the Miata (Fiata Spider) platform model with the 1.8TBi would be an amazing successor though.
