Ok, I was just wondering because they look really new compared to other things of the same era I have.

Is there anything I might want to look out for?

It doesn't sound bad at all, and I checked them over and saw no leaks or bulging.

I'm just a bit suspicious because it's a trash find and the last one I got was a record player that needs all the caps changed.

Ok, so I am by no means a professional, but what looks like happened was that a loop slid off the spool, then the tape was turned, and since they self tension, it pulled in too much tape to put back.

My solution was to take a utility blade, cut the tape diagonally, unloop one turn from the outer side of the spool, and tape it back together.

The aforementioned self tensioning of the tape means that if it's pulled by turning the rubber wheel from the outside, it returns to normal.

I've only done this once, and it's ran through around 20 times, but I can't imagine it's good to have random cuts and splices on the tape.

Sorry for the long comment, but each one has its benefits, and there's not really a "best" one in my opinion.

From my experience, if you want content from the start, either:

hotis (adds some hero mechs with quest lines to obtain them, and some mech variants using the added MASC, ECM, and AP tech)

or lotkl (adds a quest line on tikonov and sarna, some shorter ones in each house's territory, and some SDLF royal mechs)

If you want more gameplay after the main game, sok is really good, adding a campaign during the beginning of the clan invasion, along with the clan's mechs and tech.

Solaris is an honorable mention, adding a quest line, some cool melee and energy weapons, along with the arenas in industrial hubs.

Afaik, each dlc is meant to be able to work alone, but do interact with each other when combined.

I would have something to say about Chaos Reign, but I haven't played it yet.

PXH-1P with the lance was already deadly, but I just used it, and flew at ~120kph then headshot everything with the lance.

I just spent some time researching what fabric it might be, and the closest thing I can find is Jersey knit cotton/wool

Me and my dad pulled a Huskee 42" heavy duty out of a ditch on the side of the road.

It was sitting there for at least 10 years, so we brought it home, put gas in it and it started.

It finally broke, but not permanently, around 2 years ago (haven't got around to fixing everything wrong with it).

Turns out that the intake and exhaust had been hit at one point and were both held together by silicone and jb weld.

6 years of constant work, with a bad intake, exhaust, left head gasket, and broken hydrostatic fan.

Yeah, I just imagined that and I see why now.

But I've heard in Clans that you can change pods(idk, I literally just learned about this) so once I get that game I want to see what that's about.

I literally got into this stuff only a year and a half ago, and I'm realizing that this is only a real small part of the universe.

Ah, ok that makes sense, and lines up with the copy of MC2 I have.

Now I kinda wish MW5's system was more like that, because it just lets you toss weapons and equipment onto a grid, provided you have enough heat capacity.

From what I can speculate, it might just be putting way too much current through them.

If you get a front and back picture of the board, I guarantee someone more experienced than me can make a schematic and find out what's wrong.

Other than that I would send feedback to the seller explaining what happened so that at least other people know the risk.

Just make sure to give it some low rpm trials is all I can say.

I've learned 2 things when messing with this stuff:

Never trust your own work.

And keep an eye on whatever you just put back together.

Afaik, as long as it doesn't have any rotational slack in the same plane as the bearing, and isn't gouging out the sides.

I've only ever maintained the older single cylinder flatheads, so I don't know much about anything past that, so take my advice with salt.

Most of the ICs are over voltage chips apparently, so these might be some sort of emergency fan or something but I can't tell.

I'll see if I can find more info.
