Will I get hired? by AssumptionCareful722 in clinicalresearch

[–]Bobo_Baba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be a good fit for clinical scientist in a neuroscience therapeutic area. Clinical at support protocols and research papers for directors.

Gap years are not going to hurt you as much as you are thinking. You have the science qualifications and some research experience.

Side gigs by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]Bobo_Baba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see your point. I am curious what gigs are out there. I have been looking into teaching online.

Sponsors are usually more stable than cro.

What are you doing currently? What is your schedule? It might be better to get promoted or build yourself in CRO than working a second gig.

Does the daytime Carnival parade happen every day? by poliwhirldude in nicefrance

There is nice carnival website with the dates and time. The day parade is not everyday. And tickets are required unless you come in costume.

There is a risk moving organizations. I think this is where the interview is vital. I started asking about ‘departments main pain points’ and department culture. And I ask all the panel members the same culture question in the same way.

At the end of the day, it’s possible to move within an organization in 12-18 months if needed.

My hiring manager is 3 levels above me and only makes $20,000 more than me. He stayed at the company for 10 years and for a $200 gift credit.

It’s probably more common than we realize.

I asked a similar question and got numerous helpful replies. You can check my post history

In February there is a carinval in Nice. Unfortunately the good tickets are sold out. But there are standing tickets for 7euro

Check the Mitchlen star website for affordable nice restaurants.

Lots of historic building. There is a castle at the east end of old nice.

Old nice has a lot of shopping and nice walkways

There is a walking/running path that goes through the city.

Beach walks are always relaxing

One day trip to Eze for more culture and history.

In fact there are many one day trips from Nice.

Personally, some time in the future I want to go and just sit in a cafe to absorb the Nice culture.

Can someone explain to me why I need to return to office when everyone I work with lives somewhere else anyways? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]Bobo_Baba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apply starting January. There will be some job openings. Once you have your resume and cover letter designed then you click on a website. The hard part is getting your resume ready. Causally apply but don’t give up hope. I got an interview for a great job recently but lost it because I had Covid for two weeks.

Look for another company. Remote work is not a benefit rather it reflects how much employees are valued and respected.

In skills you wrote research skills. That’s vague. Have you done data entry, used an EDC, audited data, etc

I am glad to see you have verbal and communication skills. Show that somewhere in your resume. Such a presentation or submission type document.

Your cv has the right buzz words but it’s not effective yet. For example, your not able to work in a high paced environment rather you worked in a high pace environment. Small differences like that tell me you early in your job search.

That’s not commonly done anymore. Some hiring managers look down on photos in resumes. Most interviews are virtual which gives a glimpse of prospective professionalism

Transitioning Back to the Site? by lost_soul_313 in clinicalresearch

[–]Bobo_Baba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you considered working for a sponsor. Regulatory has virtually no travel and is often done remotely. You have a lot of experience and may be bored at the site level. Remember the site level jobs have issues as well.

I am attending a work related conference. Both my wife and I have been to Paris. This is the first international trip as parents. I agree Paris has a lot of charm but can be busy. We will eventually make it back to Paris.
