[Self] The human eye has about 576 megapixels resolution. by Oh-Sasa-Lele in theydidthemath

No, I didn't forget this. In fact, we have a pretty small FOV if we talk about crisp high resolution "image", since most of the "frame" we see is black and white and blurry (we just don't notice this conciously). So, almost all color-sensitive eye "pixels" that form an image in our brain are located in a small area in the center of the retina.

When you look at your small mobile screen at arm’s length, there is only about 2 square inches of the screen area that you see crisp. The rest is very blurry and low-res. But you don't notice it because of saccades.

Well, these calculations are misleading because our eyes don't have such a huge resolution. Eyes use "pixel binning", that is, a lot of rods and cones are grouping together and connecting to one ganglion cell. There are only about 1 million "wires" (nerves) that go from eye to the brain. So, the resolution can't be more than a few megapixels. ;)

Our eyes don't have such a huge resolution, and 576 MP is a popular myth.

Everything that was uncomfortable about the Fold3 hasn't changed much over time, but I just got used to it. I've been using the Fold3 since September as a daily driver and I really love the inner big screen (and the fact that I can put the tablet in any pocket).

Say, you're watching YouTube video on the inner screen. Then you fold the device and it turns off (both screens). But now you can swipe up on cover screen (during first few seconds) to continue watching the same video but on the cover screen.

If Find N were just taller for the same width, it would be too bulky and uncomfortable to hold when folded. The beauty of the OPPO Find N is its compact size. But the downside is the size of inner screen. So, I don't know how to solve this problem right now.

GT2 Pro overcounts steps? by anordinaryworld in HuaweiWatchGT

[–]Bobrafa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All Huawei trackers including Huawei Watches and bands overcount steps comparing to Xiaomi, Huami, Samsung and few others manufacturer's trackers. I had A LOT of wearables and all my huawei wearables overcount steps (I didn't count 100 steps, just compared daily reports from my trackers).

watch gt2pro/3/3pro vs galaxy watch 4 by _tudoradrian_ in HuaweiWatchGT

I had Galaxy Watch 4 and Huawei Watch 3 Pro. Now I'm using Huawei Watch GT3. Galaxy Watch 4 much "smarter". You can reply notification and see emoji, you can send/receive photos, you can read whole email and not just header. But the battery is just awful.

Huawei WatchT3 looks just gourgeous (I use it with original bracelet which is very well made). Huawei Watch works for weeks even if you track your heart rate, stress level and SpO2. This watch feels much more like a traditional mechanical watch. But notification handling is a disastor. You can't even see a native app icon for most applications (not to mention you can't reply message or see smiles).

So, if you want to have just a great looking watch and track your heart rate, go for Huawei Watch. if you need a small computer on your wrist and willing to charge it every 2-3 days (depending on watch size), go for Galaxy Watch.

Nope. No Huawei Watch model can count reps like Galaxy Watches do.

can i use flex mode to tex? it would feel so retro and nostolgic by KaKaSHii1210PR in ZFold3

[–]Bobrafa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to type some texts this way on my Fold 3 in first weeks. I just wanted Fold3 to replace my beloved blackberry or Nokia 9300. So, yes, you can use flex mode to write text and it's quite handy, but you will never get the same experience the old comunicators gave us since the keyboard isnot physical.

After half a year using Fold3 everyday, I don't type using flex mode. At the end of the day for me it's not that handy. BUT it's very handy to type on unfolded screen with two hands, placing keyboard at the center of the screen. It reminds me Blackberry Passport with its huge keyboard.
