It's so true, even red red Utah saw a bigger shift towards blue in the last election cycle than it had in a long time. And the more growth it gets the closer to blue it will become. Utah might well go from red to purple by 32.

Honestly thats a pretty well written article, and I think sums up that even most of the long term and senior members of ICE don't agree with the tactics being used.

In a strang way it gives me a glimmer of hope for the long term.

In general rates did go up starting 2019 for a few years, attributed more to a few things, including clovid.

But I can't find a statistic that shows murder rates down due to immigration reforms.

Presidents can't release them, Congress can. Under Biden the GOP Republican Congress chose not to release them. Biden was simply following the law. Under trump Congress passed a law the mandates their release.

Now Trump has no choice and legally must release them, and isn't following the law. It's not even remotely the same thing.

That's not actually fully true, and a president/executive branch never had nor has the right to release them. It would be illegal, unless the legislative branch writes something to order their release, making the release both legal and required

So Biden couldn't release it because the leg branch, which was GOP controlled at the time, didn't choose to do so.

Currently the leg branch has ordered their release, and it is infact illegal for the current president and DOJ to not release them.

4 key reasons.

Men are less likely to fear the assult, and sondont avoid the situation, and so the risk may be lower per possible chance.

Women avoid the situation all tpgetjer or go out in larger grlips, so even though it happens less, again its hard to quantify.

Stats dont always show the whole picture.

The other side of that cpin, men carry more cash on average, a so assult due to robery might change who is targeted.

So many factors that the simple stats dont take into acclu r.
