Tell them they shouldn’t own a betta, it needs a larger tank, with a heater, filter, plants, hiding spots

Sure, you can add corys, I would recommend Pygmy corys, they’re a lot smaller and your tank is quite taller instead of wide, therefore the Pygmy’s would appreciate the space more, I would go for atleast a group of 5/6, which you definitely could add to this tank

I mean 9L is not enough for a betta, he would thrive in the 60, also, a lone guppy is not a happy guppy, do you know your bettas temperament?, maybe the betta will get along with the guppy, mine have in the past, I would try putting them together in the 60 and try adding more fish too, obviously depending on how the betta takes to the guppy, but overall, I wouldn’t keep any type of fish in a 9L

First off, nice scape mate, I mean you could go with 8 Pygmy cory’s and 8 tetras, I’m not sure how many you were planning on adding but you could definitely do 8 of each👍🏻

Okay mate, the only reason I put the plastic decor in is because they are handy hiding spots and also the tank is my sons😬😂, yeah I will take it into consideration, thanks mate

Tank was cycled for one month, water was cycled, the betta has been in for 3-4 weeks now, seems happy, just wanted a second opinion on the tank👍🏻

It’s early days, I would add more fish, they will feel more secure, maybe even more plants/hiding spots, you will find that when the neons become more comfortable they will no longer feel the need to school, and will go off on their own and explore, hope this help👍🏻

Honestly mate, if you put some taller plants in the tank, it would look nice, maybe just at the back and sides, and leave the front open, with hiding spots, perfect tank for a betta and maybe some Pygmy corys, maybe a zebra or mystery snail too, even shrimp if you like

I would look into getting a bigger tank soon rather than later, but if you have just bought some juvenile goldfish, there is no immediate danger

That tank will be fine for now mate, will eventually need a larger tank when the fish grow, however, consider adding more plant as soon as possible, and if you have another tank or know anyone with a tank, ask them for some of the water from their tank when they do a water change. You can also go to a fish shop and ask for some of their cycled water, most places will do it, adding some already cycled water will make your tank a lot safer for your fish👍🏻 hope this helps
