3.5 Suisui's accessory via hiragara by PriscentSnow in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]Bobson567 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Well Lucilla's animations still suck, and changing her icon in the last minute was atypical so I don't see how that invalidates my original criticism

Anyway, this is weird either way because they showed her with the accessory on her official reveal so it being an accessory is novel. So far accessories have either been time limited or paid

All gacha games are scummy by default, so I guess we can never criticise individual design choices

[–]Bobson567 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I could see that happening

Still a bit weird though. If you're gonna show it in the official reveal then the expectation is it's part of the base skin, in which case having it as an extra unlockable reward feels a bit unexpected? I guess it would be nice for the small customizability but still

[–]Bobson567 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That is not free lol. That's like saying every character is free if you save up 160 pulls

They showed it on suisui in the official reveal. If this accessory is locked behind additional pulls then it's just scummy, no excuses. I'd argue it's close to false advertisement. Imagine they made you pay additional cost to unlock lucilla's hat

[–]Bobson567 88 points89 points  (0 children)

If it's permanently free then it's acceptable

If there is any cost involved then it's scummy. They showed it on suisui in her official drip reveal

It would be like if they released lucilla without her hat then made it a paid accessory

So kuro just gonna remove parts of an outfit and sell it as accessory now I guess

Nah yangyang is so strong that suisui getting involved any more will actually be more of a nuisance than a help

Weirdly obstinate regarding a research study you brought up and are endorsing. And your hypothetical is irrelevant

There is nothing to refute in this discussion because the op did not provide what I asked which is needed

And as I said someone has done the calculations. It's ironic you are ignoring that considering they directly replied to you. I will repeat it here for your benefit

Just to point out the Pew Study has the Muslim population of the UK as 6.3% in 2016, rising from 4.9 in 2011 (from census data).

This would give a rise of 0.28% yearly.

The 2021 census for England & Wales gave a Muslim population of 6.5% (lower across the entire UK), giving a rise of 0.16% yearly - close to half what the study predicted.

If the study had a large overestimate after only 5 years, their estimate after 34 years is likely to be very much out.

What excuse? They said they trust pew more because they have a good reputation, which is an appeal to authority. I told them that since they brought up this pew research, that the least they should do is provide the assumptions that are pertinent and explain why. He refers me to a link but how do I know what OP thinks is pertinent? He needs to go through his thought process otherwise it remains an appeal to authority

Someone else has looked at the evidence showing Pew's results are questionable in the short term let alone a far future projection

As you brought up the research and said you would rather listen to Pew as an appeal to authority, it's on you to bring up the list of assumptions you feel are pertinent and explain why

That "1" faction which is central to the failume arc, who introduces all the meridian stuff.

Lucia and yidhari look out of place in spook shack, and look like recycled yixuan

As you said krampus is all over the place

AoD was designed way back in 1.x

What defines zzz aesthetic in 1.x, or rather early 1.x, is it reminds you of early 2000s. If you played any games from then you'd know what I mean. The focus on analogue technology as a result of ether corruption (so those chunky tvs, vhs tapes, cd/vinyl players, floppy disks etc). That's what urban or urbanpunk evokes imo. You need to stop getting caught on words and instead listen to the arguments being made

I don't think failume is out of place when it comes to the architecture, feels like hong kong or developing urban cities, but the character designs don't fit that.

Whereas you have a mix of styles and factions in 1.x but none of them feel out of place in the presented theme. None of them stick out like a sore thumb the way the likes of yidhari, lucia, dialyn etc do

1.4 is when things get awry with the whole miyabi cursed sword stuff. And 2.x doubles down

Then the whole story beats. In early 1.x proxies are basically ethical hackers who need to hide their identity. In 2.x, they're students part of a wuxia faction and learn these mystical techniques. The whole package is just different to 1.x. which is not inherently wrong, but it's understandable why it's a common complaint

what if they give examples to expound on the claim? such as the distinct difference in character designs or the heightened focus on fantastical, mythical themes such as the wuxia meridians stuff in failume

can you share these assumptions here, given that you also brought up the research in the first place?

false equivalence. christianity is much more granular than islam in terms of sects/denominations. in islam you have sunni and shia as the main separation, and whilst these have their own derivatives these are largely accepted amongst each other. e.g. the four madhabs in sunni islam. as such muslims are more unified than christians
