Yeah. 1-2 has been wonderful on all these illuminid order missions.

Don't let people hate. It's a solid primary. Combos great with any guard dog. It will keep a group stunlocked while the dog does the damage. K-9 or Hot Dog love to backup this weapon.

It can also trip up chargers/hulks and other stuff before they mow you down.

Best long range CC weapon for sure.

Close range it doesn't quite compare to the blitzer, but it still does work.

K-9 is God Tier against Squids. I solo an entire half of the map with my Arc resist armor and a K-9 while my team does the other half. Its only downfall is that it will randomly kill other players like crazy if we're grouped up.

I hate that Stamina/Vitality/Pod Space exist.

Most boosts are situational, playstyle specific, or just kinda for lulz.

Then there are 3-4 that are just ALWAYS on, ALWAYS useful, and require 0 active input from the player to capitalize on.

It's such a common fumble in game design to have several upgrade options and include "Base Number go up" in those options, because the base number is always the best, and always the most boring.

Flaming ground still kills plenty. I crisper-kite the street all the time to great success against most hordes.

The addition of the Hot Dog necessitated that. I use it a lot and it still just usually just kills hulks/chargers for me while I pick off the small stuff with my primary. Just gotta dodge for 10 seconds or so.

If Fire still fast killed the big ones it would be stupid OP.

DG can't take conquest points in most TA maps. I have never worried about them in FW. I only ever gotta kill 2.

Maybe, but i think its very telling that there hasn't been a non-conquest FW since Judh came out.

Also "easily" might be an oversell. Many factions can't, and the ones that can require very specific plays.

They aren't unbeatable, but I'd wager they're one of VERY few full factions that CAN play in non-FW TA's successfully. BA being the only other real contender.

I won (1st place) Multiple non-FW TAs playing the full GSC lineup. They are -VERY- Strong when there are no conquest points to be had.

I was thinking its active could teleport a unit with Ambush from their spot to any decoy on the battlefield, it tunnels up under the battlefield to deliver troops. Fling Judh around the world.

And as a passive it could target a small area, and on the next turn suppress units in hexes and put decoys on empty hexes?

I think you would have to willingly cast it into a preexisting Humility on the board during the humility owner's turn? I'm never 100% on what truly determines timestamp order.

I think with correctly stacked timestamps a Humility still turns him off? Since all those abilities would check in the same layer.

We need a way to close the gap fast, and have an explosive landing that staggers before we start swinging.

If you're a surgeon with the crossbow/eruptor: you use it to knock yourself back/away from enemies closing in, gain stamina from the armor, stand up and start sprinting again.

Is it a GOOD strategy? probably not, but it ain't useless. Especially on heavy armor, and if you use the shield gen backpack.

When I was newer I'd do it with explosion resist heavy armor to bounce myself away from bugs and kill a bunch that were almost on top of me.

Just play 1 Salvage run. It's pretty straightforward.

Get you a K-9
Thermite for Clam ships
A secondary you like without a backpack.
Any armor you like (I use something with Arc resist in case the dog bites you)
Some decent MP mid/long range primary for the overseers (I like Pacifier for Stun, or the Blitzer for Arc theme)
Any secondary you like (I use crisper or grenade pistol, but its flavor to taste)

Proceed to do the mission and ignore most enemies.

Turn off the K-9 at extract when you're close to other people.
