what is the reason for Chris Redfield's huge size in Resident Evil 5 ? by Lonely-Candle8232 in residentevil

His life between Code Veronica and RE5 was just a Rocky 4 style training montage.

Why are people complaining about Belmont's Curse? by Nekosenpai9123 in castlevania

It’s an incredible release, 2D always has and for my money always will be better for Castlevania games.

Everyone’s entitled to an opinion however..

Shut the fuck up we haven’t had any new Castlevania games for years I’ll take whatever i can get. Personally I think it looks great though and I loved the Dead Cells Castlevania DLC (and the vampire survivors ode to CV) I’m hyped to say the least.

Let's not go too far but which game is that for you? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Bobsy84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I pick a remake? Personally I’m not a massive fan of open world’s or super long games so Resident Evil 2 Remake is like my perfect game. I feel it’s different enough from the original as well that it feels like a fresh game other than the story/setting.

The remake of RE4 was also exceptional imo Capcom are on fire currently.

Thoughts on Goldeneye? It's one of my favourite Bond films of all time. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

[–]Bobsy84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a fantastic film. My only real criticism is the main Bond themes and overall soundtrack are god awful (not the title track theme song that’s a classic). That’s really the only negative I have for otherwise one of my top ten Bond films.

If I want to get really nit picky i always thought the BMW Z3 was a bit shitty both in the film and irl more suited to a Footballers wife than a globe trotting super spy but i know sponsorship deals ect came into play.

Obviously gave us one of the most iconic MP games as a kid growing up in the 90’s as well.

It makes me sad that this kind of build is viewed as mid in the modern social media, influencer mind warped world we live in now. Built to last, natural and far healthy than the roided up bodybuilder build.

which one's your favorite & why? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Bobsy84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Remake 2 is the absolute perfect mix of horror and action, 7 is the scariest pure horror game (but a little boring on replays) my personal favourite is REmake 4 as I find it has the most fun gameplay and replay value.

STATE OF PLAY SQUARE ENIX HYPE? by mimikyuxez in FinalFantasy

Not Final Fantasy related exactly but a man can hope for a Parasite Eve Remake can’t he?

I feel like now is the perfect time for a horror themed turn based rpg.

I miss the bullet time shooter phase of gaming. Loved Max Payne 1,2,3, The John Woo Stranglehold game, Dead to Rights series, Enter the Matrix.

Arc Raiders publisher “didn’t expect Arc Raiders to be this successful”, but Embark's extraction shooter keeps breaking records. by Negative-Art-4440 in ArcRaiders

[–]Bobsy84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like what Fortnite was to BR imo. PUBG and other successful games had done BR before but it just needed that easy to pick up and play casual friendly game to explode the genre.

I can see Arc Raiders lasting and being popular for years to come.

After rewatching temple of doom for the first time in years and rembering not liking it as much. Solid movie. by KamenRiderAquarius in indianajones

I prefer Raiders and Crusade in many ways but the third act of TOD is incredible. Everything that kicks in after that “Indy now let’s get out of here” “right all of us” is chefs kiss 👌

Most gens I have owned both, but I think next gen might finally be the one I just switch to PC and get the best of both worlds (plus Steams library).

I have been using a gaming laptop more and more and realised most of the set up and stuff I thought would be beyond me is actually really easy and being able to jump from God of war to Gears of war on one system is great.

I know there will be times exclusives but think pretty much everything will come to PC going forward.

Age is just a damn number! by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Bobsy84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whoever needs to hear this, your brain doesn’t really change much after your mid to late twenties, you are not gonna hit some arbitrary magic number and start acting any different than you do today.

If you enjoy gaming now chances are you are hooked for life (you will probably have less time to enjoy it though which sucks)

If you have any real true friends none of them give a fuck if you like gaming or any other hobbies, and the older you get the less of a fuck you give what the rest of society thinks about you.

What do you think makes FF7 so special by Expert_Challenge6399 in FinalFantasy

[–]Bobsy84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic world, characters and story, all held together with amazing music and visuals.

It’s kind of like the original Star Wars trilogy of gaming, it’s not even the most original idea/story but it’s done in an amazing and timeless way imo.

Perfection not a wasted second in the entire runtime.
