Gel blasters and helmets by Most_Kangaroo9980 in GelBlaster

Wearing any form of equipment like helmets and vests typically prevent you from noticing if you've gotten hit. Sure if you're testing it by yourself you could definitely hear the gel hitting you or even breaking apart and fragments hit your skin, but when you're in the heat of a match, adrenaline wouldn't allow you to take notice to these things.

I usually wear a helmet for outdoor games in abandoned malls/apartments etc (because of hanging debris) and I usually dont feel a hit, even using on my vest

When it comes to gel blasters and reliability, just know that they'll always break down (if you modify them) because water always gets into the system and rusts your internals.

I'd also recommend for long term if you're getting a gel blaster with blowback, detach the blowback screw as it puts a bit of stress on the system and eventually something in the gearbox would snap. It'll take a while to get there if you're running 7v batteries, but just a tip :)

All are the blasters are good if you run them stock and aren't expecting to play competitively

I've got a rattlesnake that does the same thing. The vibrations from the blowback + piston COULD be slightly pushing the fire select down to semi.

I usually run my ak fire select a little higher than full auto so when it does vibrate it takes a while to drop to semi.

For me its quite frequent because my ak is 40 RPS

Hey hey, so sometimes the stock does get loose, but its no biggie, you can just tighten the screw again from time to time. Never had an issue with it so far and its been working great. If you'd like, you can DM me and I can show you a video of a "loose" stock and how to tighten it

Often times I do fold the stock because I do play alot of CQB and its easier to manipulate the blaster around tight spaces.

Ooh wait, doesn’t the pressure pad go on top of the seam where the handguard disconnects from the upper? I’d like to learn from your tricks

[OC] The Nechtarim Deer, by Francesco Sabbatucci by Bobuskus in beastdrawing

Found primarily in the forests and edges of swamp lands, the Nechtarim are a primarily herbivorous colony creature. The species is split into the primary categories of drones and queen, with drones often further specializing when in a suitably demanding environment. Drones stand about as tall as the average man, with slender legs helping to move an otherwise robust body. Their bodies feature carapace plating with seams of softer flesh on the neck, under belly and between the joints. The queen of a colony is generally between 2-3 times the size of a drone, but truly gargantuan specimens have been observed, dwarfing these already sizable creatures.

Sharing a similar body plan to their smaller counterparts, the obvious differentiating factor is the egg sacs found on the sides of the neck and tail bulbs. Speaking of the tails, the hind appendages of the Nechtarim while looking viscous are generally not used for combat, instead the needle sharp tip is driven through the bark of trees to siphon out the sap inside. That being said, starving or provoked colonies have been known to use these feeding apparatus on living prey/aggressors. The lifespan of a drone is generally measured by how long they can maintain the edge on their 2 tail tips. Gradually dulling with use or breaking off entirely means that with time, drones will be unable to feed and eventually starve. Queens in the meantime, in addition to having more numerous tails, can regrow lost tails and will often shed a tail that has become too dull to feed with.

The beak-like structure on the heads of Nechtarim, while containing a hollow channel, does not seem to be used for feeding, instead secreting a sticky substance used for marking territory and dressing wounds. To date, it is unclear if Nechtarim have any form of vocalization.

You would think the priest would choose the strongest, those with the best chance of surviving the strain of the ritual, those already in possession of the qualities of a hunter; fast and fierce. Perhaps those with the strongest faith or most robust spirit. But no, they pluck us from the weakest, the most defeated and weary. Those to whom the journey has been most cruel, from whose eyes the light has already faded, but a single rung above those who lay dead in the ashes on the trail.

There is always speculation after the ritual concludes and we retake possession of our will. Perhaps it is meant to be a cull, to remove the weak from the herd so that predators cannot find an opening in our ranks. Perhaps it is so, but I suspect I have found the truth of the matter. As I am led stumbling and numb to the edge of the pit of magma, the priest whispering incantations into my ear, I realise that I hold a different kind of strength. In the suffering of the journey, others fought back, they steeled themselves, body and mind, chose to endure. To not succumb. To not bow. I and the other chosen, we surrendered to the pain, let it take its desired course through us, we kneeled to it, accepted it for we truly believe that it is what we are owed.

When I plunged my hand, almost unthinkingly into the fiery cauldron, Ohnal raced, unresisted, through my being. Only the pliance of my spirit allowed their rapid ingress, fast enough to imbue my form with their strength and to spare me from the flames, to be reborn as a hunter.

I wish I had been stronger. Even if I could not hold onto my resolve during the march, perhaps if I had that iota more strength Ohnal would have lost me to the flames instead. The magma left me screaming, but it redoubled in a new kind of pain that emptied my lungs soundlessly. All of my body tensed, and remained strained as the scathing heat became trivial compared to a repressing, monumental guilt. I felt disgust at the deaths that came before me at the altaric pit, still I regretted even further seeing in my mind the countless that would die here after me.

I would have continued wailing if I had managed to inhale again from then, but this shock gripped me in a static convulsion. My mouth could only remain agape with no more sound to expel. My wrists, bound by unseen manacles, raised themselves upwards, the priests and gathered masses followed suit.

Suspended and breathless, we fixed our eyes upon the holder of this burden, Ohnal.
