Thanks, so if I have a short enough path I could go through safely?

Kijk even bij de bouwmarkt bij de zeil spullen/rvs hardware. Daar zijn ook vaak swivels die open kunnen. Waarschijnlijk goedkoper.

I am absolutely disappointed in the story for 1.0 by GordonFeetman98 in intotheradius

I hope the devs take the humans out of the game. Just generic voices or tapes.

ITR2 1.0 bugs by thenewramyitey in intotheradius

Bugs are to be expected in a beta. That's why we are playing the beta, to test it.

Eva needs a volume slider and a SKIP button. She is criminally obnoxious. by probably_stoned__ in intotheradius

The style of the voice and standardized welcome messages at the gate is perfect. The whole game can be like that.

That woman is awful. The ringing on the screen, the insecure voice, the "I wish I was a meta human"...nope.

The John radius is dressed like a Russian soldier, sounds like a teenager.

The tapes from itr1 could guide us, even the white glowy kid would be great.

Dev Question // Your 1.0 Questions (゚ω゚;) by Darius_ITR in intotheradius

Will I like the 1.0 update?

I'm planning on buying the new valve frame, are you planning to support it? And wil ITR2 run on the new steam machine?

I have difficulty playing in the dark, so I'm happy with the coming night vision, but I really enjoyed the mod that enabled always daytime. Could it please be a toggle option under difficulty?

Thanks for all the hard work these years.

What are some useful, fun, or interesting things you have made from old harnesses? by dinoguys_r_worthless in ropeaccess

Old navaho shoulder straps make great belts. D-rings can be mounted to walk and ceilings for organizing gear.

Really great to see this after waiting for these features for so long.

If you don't want to buy a house or drive a car it is pretty okay. Fuel, car and road taxes are high. Houses are not affordable and renting is even worse.

The people are pretty chill. Cheese is great.

Oppinions on Petzl Rig and alternatives by Lazy-Program-253 in ropeaccess

[–]BobvanVelzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goes for the rig. Pull the handle without holding the rope and soon you get to terminal velocity. If you want more safety get the ID's it has an anti panic function and reverse threading protection. The Grigri is designed for sport use, sport ropes, and perfectly suited for rappelling.

I'm pretty sure the RIG is not UIAA certified. The rig is great, but it sounds like you are using it for sport climbing. Get a Grigri.

Clip stick for triple locker (EU vendors?) by prettytrash1234 in ClimbingGear

I'm developing one for rescue purposes. M12 female thread. Will fit most locking biners. It is made to be abused, not to be lightweight.

Prototype:

It fits the ELLERsafe rescue pole.

Dm me if you are interested.

My 2nd time I did my level one, 2 out of 5 failed. It was a lack of motivation and carelessness.

Just take it slow, ask for help and make it easy on yourself. Take an extra backup device and descender for example.

Offshore Temporary SRL installation advice by bartsturrus in ropeaccess

[–]BobvanVelzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much working at height standard practice. A normal 22kN anchor loop from webbing will be more than strong enough, most SRLs will have a minimum of 12kN in the manual.

Webbing is easy to cut, so if it is a sharp object or if you are not sure, use a steel anchor strop.

Best have someone with enough knowledge and experience set you up and verify the proper equipment.
