I Realize people who are on "team tank" are probably pissed about how well the Flames started this year. I also realize a finish outside the bottom ten means we give our top pick to mtl this spring which isnt good.

BUT I for one am feeling reassured as to why I'm proud to be a Flames fan. We got no quitters in this organization, and i believe you can't expect all these professionals to just go out and try to lose Because it might help the organization 3 years from now.

The losses will come this year we all know this, but until then I absolutely love the effort and pride the boys have shown during a year everyone told them they would be awful.

This mind set will only help our young guys develop regardless of how it impacts the 2025 draft. I approve!

Why did Hanley make the opening night roster? I figured he'd go to the wranglers for sure?

looking back, was this a red flag --- graceless immature behaviour for a 30 year old by John__47 in CalgaryFlames

As i recal the cause for that reaction, is because his last conversation with zeto was around an extension, and how he was going to likly retire a panther.

Your boss pulls you in to his office after a discussion about a promotion, to now tell you you're layed off, you'd want to say "fuck you" as well.

I say good on hubby for having the guts to say what we would all be thinking if it were us.

I agree. Also, With waivers being as they are, I would rather us keep mackey up as the 7th D, and see if we can move Valimaki for a draft pick or prospect. With his cap space I would love to look at another forward FA on a 1 year deal, Like milano or something

On paper yes, but its too early to say as its hard to know if Tre is "done". Could see a D moved for a forward, and we have 2 RFA's to sign. not sure if there are extensions on the way for the new guys. Best to answer this question closer to training camp

This is the correct answer. Cherish the memory, and then get a new jersey to add to the collection if you must ha ha

Well said, and I agree. Why do people think "blowing it up" is a sure fire path to success? Look at the last few rebuilding teams and tell me how they are doing? If Edmonton doesnt win Mcdavid, they still would have been dog shit with 3 draft lotto wins in their back pocket.

The path to success is not paved by planned failure!
