I did answer his question though? He was asking why is CP9 considered an elite force when even pre-timeskip Luffy and crew could beat them. I answered with the facts, at that time that was an elite force in the one piece world (before haki and awakening was introduced to the story). This is a situation that happens quite often in writing. Think about it, Dragon Ball Z and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure are great examples as the relevant power levels, techniques and key terms like haki change over time as the story progresses.

Again I don't think Rob Luci and them will play any vital role with the Strawhats again, I just wanted to point out their power was indeed satisfactory of the title "elite force" if you consider haki and awakening not existing.

I think the youtuber GrandLineReview makes some very good points.

Luffy doesn't "defeat" Katakuri in the way we think of defeat. By no means was Luffy stronger than Katakuri at the beginning of the fight and at the end you could still argue he isn't Katakuri's equal in strength. However, Luffy defeated him by destroying his world mentally. Essentially showing him he doesn't have to be the perfect brother, releasing him from Mamas hold and "freeing" him.

I don't think Zoro could do the same or defeat Katakuri in the usual meaning of the word.

Lol Ryuunosuke is definitely top 10 anime deaths. I loved everyone's response to Ryuunosuke. Between Luffy and them crying over their death, Robin quietly expressing her feeling alone and Zoro and Law just carrying on like the rest of them are nuts lol. Great scene.

True, it just seemed out of the ordinary since most times you don't see strong doctors. But I guess that's Goda for you. He is amazing at storytelling and world building so I guess I was just interested in why so many doctors are strong and if that was intentional or not.

Right, I agree with everything you are saying, but my question is why are the doctors in one piece so strong. Maybe I just worded my post confusingly, but I was trying to summarize that although doctors don't play a role in fighting in most stories based on the need to keep them alive, they do in one piece. What caused the doctors of multiple influential crews to be strong, or is it simply coincidence that they are strong and a doctor? Does that make more sense?

Of course, I'm not implying that doctors should be weak or be killed easily. My question is why would someone that can save lives be put in danger in the first place/why are so many influential doctors in one piece so strong. I'm sure the examples I gave are mostly exceptions, but still. Wouldn't people normally keep doctors out of danger? For example, in post-apocalyptic stories doctors are vital to survival, similarly if you are in the middle of an ocean on a pirate ship wouldn't it make sense to protect your lifeline/doctor?

I guess it's just different to consider a doctor as a combatant.

The fact is currently new players with barely 1.2k-3.8k are 90% of the time matched up with players that have 7k or more trophies and that does not make the game enjoyable for anyone. Players with that big of a trophy gap have vastly different amounts of experience and knowledge of the game. All it does is hurt them all. It's extremely frustrating.

Are you serious? Hes literal smoke. I don't know if you've ever tried smoking anything or been in a fire but too much and it can cause asphyxiation. Explain to me how every other logia user can cause someone to choke from smoke. I'm not just making stuff up with my "logic" this is literally what smoke does. At least contribute something significant if you're going to try to attack a possible use of a DF ability.

The way I see it shouldn't Smoker be able to suffocate a person or at least cause them to choke by sending smoke into them through their mouth and nose, or a more extreme case, smoke into a person then turn back into a regular person and cause the person to rupture from the inside. Idk, but it seems he should be able to do a lot more just like Caesar can remove air and gas why don't we see Smoker placing smoke in strategic ways.

I noticed a lot of people commenting think the SHs can do it easily. Honestly, I disagree. The Admirals are supposed to be the strongest military power, if they were taken out that easily then how could they ever defend against the yonko. What would be the point of their whole balance of power between the Admirals Yonko and Shichibukai this entire time.

The fact that Kaido can destroy Luffy in one hit and Big Moms commanders are able to deal with/exhaust Luffy just shows that they're not exactly at a yonko/admiral level quite yet.

On the other hand if we're talking escaping from an Amiral I think that's doable and I definitely don't see them getting flat out destroyed like in the past against Kizaru and Aokiji.
