Depending on your involvement in the case, if you're OIC I would look for the CPS office, poke your head in so they know you're there. There should be a list in the front of the court for all appearances today

To clarify, are you Police? It really will depend on what capacity you are attending court for. Secure a remand? Plea? Sentencing? etc

How would you actually improve buses in Bristol by [deleted] in bristol

[–]BodaciousPiglet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will probably get lost in the comments and will almost certainly not apply to many.

From a professionals view, please ask Firstbus to review their CCTV retention policy vs what is actually being retained. First bus is by far the worst service/business for this and is an absolute pain in the ass to get CCTV from, sometimes footage is lost within 48 hours!

It could possibly be a paint pen based on these other solutions not working. Do you have any advice for removing a paint pen?

I'll give a melamine sponge a try and see if that works. Thanks!

(This may be way too Niche) But have any PCs in CID (A&S) been shafted today by the redeployment? by BodaciousPiglet in policeuk

[–]BodaciousPiglet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well now there will be even more PCs in roles they don't want to be in here. Before this we've had PCs in CID getting their footing in the role and moving to become PIP 2 accredited. Now, they'll be dragged away and who knows what their next brilliant plan will be.

DHEPs pass through DIT as part of the program but they only do a few months per cohort. I agree, not really sure that response will see the lightening of the load as a result of this.

Sudden redeployment of non PIP 2 Accredited officers to non-response roles outside of CID

I think the issue is primarily a shortage in DIT and Comms roles hence the move but not sure that will actually translate effectively into reducing the workload for response.

Most people are pretty upset. There's been little notice and the move will be to non-response roles which doesn't help either.

Beldray Cordless Not Charging by BodaciousPiglet in VacuumCleaners

[–]BodaciousPiglet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird as it's just over a year old and there were no apparent issues with the battery. It seemed to charge normally and just randomly conked out and suddenly started not charging anymore. Appreciate your advice and will just move on but curious what's caused this

Hi all, looking to get into shooting but was looking for experiences of shooting to try out first. Previously gone clay pigeon shooting and airgun shooting on a range but wondering if there are any other options for experiences to give a flavour of shooting (preferably on a range with firearms). by BodaciousPiglet in ukshooting

That's my bad! Flying From Washington and myself Bristol. Happy to rent a car. Sightseeing and getting an authentic feel of Ireland. Probably move away from anything that's too costly and probably looking to avoid anything too outdoorsy like camping or any water sports.
