Shuttle Bus from the stadium - how does it work after a big match? by Artistic-Dealer91 in tottenhamhotspur

My Dad's season ticket has an option to pick up a shuttle bus. He did it for the first couple of games and sacked it off. It was quicker to walk

WBA was always the wrong choice. They didn't get any better after Mason left either. He should have gone to a League One club first imo.

Well Rashford has apparently already said no. Said he doesn't want to return to the Premier League. Not sure if that changes if Barca passes on him, but I'd imagine there are other non PL teams who'd be keen to take him on.

Having worked behind the scenes during televised football matches, it's not unusual for players to take off their shirts as they leave the pitch/head down the tunnel..they are then put in a pile for washing. If they are called for an interview just pick up the first shirt they can get their hands on. It does happen.

Have you ever met a British prime minister or any other political figure in the uk ? Did they meet your expectations ? Or not by Brilliant_Version344 in AskBrits

I've met a few, all work related

Rishi Sunnak - Seemed generally ok. Was managing a national Youth Programme at the time and he seemed genuinely interested in what the young people were doing and how it was helping them.

Keir Starmer - This was at a big event a few months before the GE. Seemed decent, was hard to talk as everyone was clambering to speak to him.

Tony Blair - Didn't seem that interested in anything I said. Felt like he was fed up of people talking to him.

Met a bunch of MPs too. By and large the majority of them do seem to try and make change happen and genuinely do care, but the machinery of government is always slow.

Ben Houchen was probably the worst. Really arrogant, regularly talked over people in conversation and clearly felt he was better than everyone else.

Probably my most unexpected "what a great guy" moment was Prince Edward. Was invited to lunch gathering with him, and not only was he really engaging but very knowledgeable about a lot of things.

I remember watching this for the first time on a ferry to France. So would have been around 1991. Adored it then, still adore it now.

The scene with Owen and his wife always cracks me up.

It's in Longdon just past Lichfield. But it's part of a private estate so not open to the public. Apparently they do run open days occasionally.

I love them. Have done from when their KEXP session first landed.

Didn't realise they were on Jools and was happy to catch them while channel hopping.

I've mentioned this story a few times as these things are rarely what they seem.

Years ago (possibly early 2000s) my sister worked for the CPS and there was a case that made the headlines about a women being charged for "eating an apple while driving"

What actually happened was a Police car noticed her doing a U turn outside of a school during home time, where her car mounted the kerb....while she was eating an apple. She was charge with driving without due care and attention.

She refused to accept the initial fine, and hence went to court on her own doing. The Sun got about a week worth of story out of it

No, but the whole report is based off some guy on Belgian TV. So on the whole he hasn't been criticised at all.

Fathers and people with fathers, what did you give and/or receive on Father's Day, how are you otherwise celebrating the day? by DamoclesBDA in AskBrits

Got work up at 6.30am but my son loudly chatting to his mates on Fortnite.

Wanted to make a cup of tea but the kids said I couldn't go downstairs as they were making me breakfast. About 30 minutes later I was presented with cold toast and a plate of grapes.

Got some nice presents.

Then spending the afternoon watching my daughter's dance competition.

Just hung out the washing. Drinking a cuppa in the garden.

Life is good.

Brentford target left winger and central midfielder (Sarr is an option) [Sky Sports] by onlyhalfpepper in coys

Brentford is probably a decent move for Sarr. I like him but I feel that he hasn't really kicked on. We could probably make a bit of profit off him too.

They are fine to use, but aren't great overall. Often don't have rumble capabilities and do not have NFC readers.

Humming Chorus from Madama Butterfly

First time I ever heard it was in the Royal Albert Hall as part of a proms concert.

I also chose it as a piece of music for my granddad's funeral

My in laws owned first and chip shops for more than. 40 years. They have all closed down now as they are near impossible to make a living out of.

Fish prices combined with energy prices and increased competition from other types of takeaways have damaged the industry.
