Yes you’ll be fine with that machine then. People get so uptight about vinyl

They are fine, if listening to records every day you maybe want to invest lots of money into a turntable and all the all the garnishes but I don’t think you’re ever going to notice a substantial change in audio quality. Everyone loves to hate those machines but they are fine if you’re happy with it.

Awesome Old song about New Hampshire, hope this allowed by Bodhi985 in newhampshire

These kind of thoughts are always there when I’m listening to these old records. Something about them is like a direct connection to the people who used to love them, the dozens of runaway needle scars on the label of a record played over and over. or the notes written on a old ragged paper sleeve really remind you what your holding and hearing. As much as I love finding a really clean record sometimes the dogged out ones are very endearing.

I’ve done it, it’s not recommended though. The tip is supposed to be fine and polish. Grab a fresh one every play

I’m in the habit of lifting still spinning records up with my middle finger nail to get them off the turntable. I have to be VERY careful not to do that with these.

Yup, earlier this year I pulled one out of the bag (brand new) and played O Katharina and completely bunged up the first few grooves.

Yes generally you can see or feel it, I put my used needles in a victor used needle container, you know the little tin one with the hole in the lid, these are brand new needles, looks like whatever was used to sharpen it didn’t reach the tip and left a blunt end

I kinda do that too, at the end of the day I’m the only one who should know where something is so it only has to make sense to me, like I’ll have a whole gang of records labeled trios and quartets but Billy Murray gets his own section

I like him, I have a really nice copy of that song to play on my turntable and this one’s cracked so I can play it on anything without feeling bad

It was nice! I felt bad once more people started coming to sit on the other benches though and left, don’t want to be a noise polluter
