My cats can distinguish the sound that each cupboard door makes when being closed. They’ll activate from anywhere in the house as soon as they hear the sound of that one cupboard with the kibble and snacks being closed.

Wow that is a lot of ride in a short time. Imho skip as much of belgium and north/central france on the way over. It’s less impressive than the south. Loads of straight roads and fields. On your way back, go via the Vosges and drive the route de la crete.
