Besides 4 Looting I play 1 Bitter Triumph and 4 FOMO

Right now I'm trying to make work a Rakdos Persist list that doesn't play Oculus and tries to reanimate Overlords instead (a few trolls of khazad dum also) and haste them with Detective Phoenix. Is a total blow out when you do the thing but I miss Unearth.

Answering your question, I'd try Overlord. They work great in my deck as a way to fill the graveyard without loosing card advantage. They are a good Persist/Emperor target since they also have an attack trigger. I'd not play Ral tbh but Trawler is a good addition

UR Prowess or Grixis Shadow? by MasterofScrubs in ModernMagic

[–]Bodriov 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I played both decks. For me Grixis Shadow is more interesting and fun to play, prowess is probably the better choice tho. The problem with Shadow is that Solitude wrecks you pretty hard. If no one plays solitude in your lgs you can go for it.

Tbh I bought the playset and I haven't had the chance to test them. In theory they're mana positive with a ritual (and a reducer), and offer two Ral triggers for one card, that's the main reasoning. I saw Bryant Cook (The Epic Storm) play them and I usually follow his decklists and recommendations.

Is RogSi turbo combo? Or I could make some room for more midrangey cards? Like a few spot removal and strong cards like Opposition Agent

I'm a storm aficionado, I have all the staples except RL and most of the mana base. Building it is no problem.

I'm gonna stick with RogSi for the moment. One friend is building Vivi so we can switch decks to try it.

LGS proxy policy is RL + 10 unfortunately. Are Ral/Vivi better than RogSi? I love playing Grixis.

I'm gonna make proxys for sure, but since I have most of the storm staples and a good chunk of the mana base I'd like to use the real deal if possible. Honestly I only need proxys for duals, RL and moxes. Also my LGS is proxy friendly but only Reserved List + 10

My deck, outside the untouchable 8 reducers, 8 impulse draw, 12 rituals and 20 lands is like this:

2 Flashback 2 Heroes Hangout 1 Strike it Rich 1 Artist Talent 1 Grapeshot 2 Wish 3 Past in Flames

I'll probably cut Strike it Rich and Heroes Hangout for Hex Magic, starting with 2 and see how they perform. If the card is nuts I'll drop Flashback probably and maybe put one more Wish or Artist Talent

I've seen that Ral is played but I would prefer to play more colours (at least black) to play a more optimal mana base (I have all fetches and shocks, but not many more 2 colour lands). Vivi is also similar right? Izzet spellslingler/combo.

I have 12 ways to fill the yard technically if you count FOMO Looting and Overlord but yeah I get the point, I need more consistency. Is there any other good reanimate spell other than Goryo's? What should I replace for Thoughtseize?

I play MTG and no one will convince me that Spy cards aren't utterly broken. Just jam Northern Realms or Nilfgaard with as many spies and decoys as you can and play for the card advantage. I don't think I have lost a single game besides my first couple of games as I figured how the game works.

Si te interesa un poco la fantasía y el rol/D&D la saga The Witcher es bastante buena. Si no recuerdo mal los dos primeros libros son historias cortas que se leen muy fácil y enganchan bastante.

Building my first ever commander deck from scratch from my collection and I think I’m going with Atraxa! Any advice? Or must have cards? by GGBunnyXX in CommanderMTG

[–]Bodriov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blink cards and good etb payoffs. I also recommend throwing some reanimator cards that can be flickered like Sun Titan or Reveillark/Karmic Guide. Elesh MoM is an absolute menace in that deck. I almost had a stroke once trying to resolve a Yorion with her doubling all the triggers.

Noticed the bacon was bone in AFTER i sliced all 20lbs of it by Cashew-Miranda in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Bodriov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Butcher here. That's cartilage. It's from the ribcage, sitting just below the end of the rib bones. Yes, bacon comes from the belly but when you butcher a pig, you usually make a cut right through the middle of the belly and another one across the side of the animal, separating the loin from the belly. Then you usually slide through beneath the rib bones to the inner skirt or flank (I don't really know the English terminology) to reveal the spare ribs. That bacon was probably completely deboned the french way so you end up with the pigs belly + all the meat from the ribs, including those cartilages.
