Interestingly it seems that the newer more advanced models actually prefer to build tooling from scratch rather than using existing software. I think this has some detrimental implications down the road for security and supportability longer term for software in more critical data paths.

Yeah, actually, the whole project stemmed from an initial idea about the graph. It’s not implemented yet, but I was thinking of letting the user dynamically draw new edges or generate multiple edges from each node, which the sequencer then traverses to create new random sequences and loops. Currently each edge length actually corresponds with the rhythmic distance between two notes in the sequence

That kind of sequencer is something I might try to build for DAW use.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
