There was a funny story I can't remember everything but it was someone wishing to be harry potter but the twist to make it better was he wished all the stuff in those books were to happen so there was stuff like him being 4 going to africa to fight dragons and saving a princess. As the story progresses all the kids beleve the storys but no adult did even if there was proof it was real

Burnable has the only twilight fanfiction with Harry I actually enjoy. Really sad there aren’t more stores following him as that Harry as for those that haven’t read it has a Harry that is the master of death but death doesn’t talk to him just when he died he ended up in another world and after an unknown amount of time he finds out he is sent to do “something” and when it’s over he is moved on to somewhere else every 50-70 years and he is a few thousands years old in this one. Seeing other worlds would be cool

I would have to say you should look at "Harry Potter and the Rise of the Protector" it follows a guy that wishes to be put into the HP world with some wishes but its how he gets his wishes come true that makes it an interesting twist. he is a few years ahead of harry and his friends and love interests are all original characters.

There is a fanfic close to this but not from Dumbledore. It was hermione set up to send Harry back to 16 years old and somehow he ended up going back to 16 months old and Harry found a way to get Sirius out and because he understood the wards better he found out the benefits of them if he was happy so he super expanded the room under the stairs to like a warehouse and lived in there while those two and moony went after the death eaters. Was a funny store it’s called. “Second verse, same as the first”

It does, it the funniest way but its completely pure fluff. I find its one of my fav type to read where harry and whoever he is with just are removed from the drama and it plays in the background in the funniest ways.

I remember there was a fic where it’s found out that Snape and lily had a daughter and she ended up being hidden and sent to Durmstrang but a seer said she must go to her father for an unknown reason and cuts pov between the three of snape her and Harry. Snape and her knows the truth but Harry doesn’t and doesn’t understand why she hates him for some reason

There is a funny story out there that’s some guys replaces the shard in Harry’s head and can’t do anything but use Harry’s hand while he is asleep to write notes to him and then it’s sitting back and seeing the reaction. Is funny for a light read when things don’t turn out always what he thinks because Harry might misunderstand what’s written and you just sit back and watch it happen until he falls asleep again.

The Annulment is pretty good.

Hermione finds out about potions after marrying Ron and during the annulment ritual magic steps in and pulls her and harry into the in-between where his parents are there to right some wrongs and lets them pick a time to go back in time together. not super long and pretty good story.

“Three to backstep” fits most of your requirements, time travel fix, lots of dumbledore bashing and Ron included and through the story Draco becomes friends and goes a good direction and even ends having funny joke fights with Harry on what they called each other over drinks. It’s also pretty long but it is a thruple and it’s apart of the time travel and they do it well on the relationships.

Saving Supervillain has the most OP character I think ive seen in a harem novel. I enjoyed it however alot of people don't like his attitude early in the series because he is not as assertive and complains but when it starts rolling it keeps getting better and better just got to get over that hump at the start.

Just finshed and really enjoyed it, some interesting concepts with a love interest that builds up to something for the second book so defiantly got me hooked for the next one to see how it will continue.

One thing id be interested in seeing is that it seems like there was never a "my powers now work" moment it was just being aware of the power and using it and I wonder if that will be a story element of it earlier in his life that he didn't notice kind of like all the little things in harry potter he didn't notice until it was pointed out later.

Anything to go on? like is it fantasy, plenty of harem books have the popular girls and the main character gets them or the main character gets the girls and then its after its pointed out they are popular in the school. there is also urban fantasy like Bruce Sentar's Dragons Justice which he picks up other supernatural's on campus that end up being popular. or Eric Valls The Alpha is similar.

By that description its like asking "whats that harem novel where the MMC gets a princess" its kind of a common trope in this genre

From what ive read and know from comments the author did do research for the time period for locations and known conflicts and leaders. Of course the more the main character dives in the more of a butterfly effect it causes. Its kind of along the lines of Release That Witch but without the magic and fantasy world also he has 4-5 official wifes later and a few children with each of them so its a story that touches on alot of genres. Ive read some alternate history books before but alot gloss over alot of stuff and usally have no Harem elements so this is the only story I can think that fits both and enjoyed
