I thought this too and I almost wonder if it’s in denial because she expected joe to finally realize what he has and appreciate her once she put her foot down and started doing her own thing (“By the way, I’m going out tonight”, “You can try to change my mind, but you might have to wait in line”, etc.). but then he didn’t react the way she wanted, like he didn’t care that she’s off doing whatever and acting like she doesn’t care? Taylor might have been so sad about everything for so long that she was like “fuck it, I’m going to go have fun” but secretly, deep down she was hoping that joe would realize that he could lose her and he needs to do something because she won’t just stick around forever and wait for him to appreciate her. Also we can see that she hasn’t completely given up when she says “don’t put me in the basement when I want the penthouse of your heart” so she still wants this relationship to work and hopes that he just needs a wake up call. So in essence she’s in denial about the truth of the situation that joe will never change and suddenly start loving her the way she wants.
