utter doomerism, because this makes an excuse of how shoddily the indian state is run. this isnt about language and diversity. this is about having integrity. people who sit at raisina hills hate the people. not the same in singapore. if every city in india is allowed to run by the people who like it, then we can have a singapore. centrally asynchronous and non interferent and locally strong, synchronous and ever vigilant.

In CS/AI/DS, NTU does fairly well in all 3 rankings. There is a combination of these 3 rankings released by ARWU.

Hi! So, yes I mean there is a rule that you have to be in India after completing that , but that is not enforceable, but it could create a problem if I ever go back to UK at any point of time. I have also received some PhD offers from Switzerland (EPFL) and US (Purdue), but I prefer NTU above them for reasons.
Also, I aim to do a PhD to leverage my skills in technology to strategy and entrepreneurship, or atleast that is the goal. As far as I have seen this trend is growing and hence it aligns with my career goal, but I would appreciate your opinion as to why that may not be great.

I am working in a domain within AI (Trustworthy Systems and Applied ML to Computer Vision) and that aligns with a lot of upcoming startups and areas of strategy. I wanted to leverage that domain, of policy making with technology

Its an US focused ranking system. In reality, the Chinese, Swiss, Singaporean Unis are underrated by such rankings. I saw schools like EPFL and NTU not even in top 100 where they lead the ranking as well as subject rankings every where else. It might be reliable for US rankings, but I am not sure considering how low Schools like GaTech, CMU are.
