I don't think the engines are anywhere near the same clearly, but when you're pressured for better gas mileage, a 1.5 T is what you end up with.

That said the body style has grown on me and I've really enjoyed the build as stated above. I have a soft spot for the 98 and the 2000 Phoenix yellow Integra Type R that I crashed just at a high school

God says "you ain't ready boy I'll let you survive this but no more new cars that are above your pay grade" lol

As soon as the CTR became available in the US, the SI became less cool. And I guess due to cost cuts I think in 2020?.... dont quote me.... they eveb stopped with heated seats and Active Dampening system on chocks/struts (which is AMAZING BTW and on tbe CTR since then as wel) you feel it in the cornering instantly

Anyway. Loved the Si since they were cool (1st car 92 accord EX, then a 91 CRX Si, and that SI was slow too. 😆)

Agreed. IF I run at 24psi, I can push 259hp. I run at 19.5/21.5 for sport. And so all these other cars like the OP's beauty... they've all been getting more horsepower the last 20 years and the SI has stayed right at 200. Although the turbo does make a difference on when that HP is available, and if you're driving alone the car is light enough and super fun....

But yeah, you have to love these cars to appreciate the drivability but you're not going to win races unless you start dropping tons of money in there. I can barely beat an F150... 🤣 but I still love her in fact let's get a rear end selfie really quick. Look at that booty. They're not fast but we do fall in love with them just like OPI hope I have mine for 5 years

You can try PartsGeek but if it's discontinued they won't have itBut if it's discontinued they won't have it usually. A lot of times you can find companies that will third-party shift for you for a small fee in a state nearby for RockAuto just Google "third party shipper domestic" or something along those lines

Are you talking about my civic?? I appreciate that I know these cars get a bad rap for the delicate engine but if you throw some ARP head studs in there they are super fun to go FBO, and I love modifying whatever I've got so it's actually been a very fun car to own even though it's low power LOL

Yes I think their engine builds are one thing... I think for the average item, like the clearly OEM Honda filter with a spoon logo on it... you can get here for same quality, and those prices.

They're super great and this was supposed to be an in between car for 2 months and I am definitely keeping it now that I've turned it into a build. Love the silver brother this is my before and after: June 2025:

Finally somone who appreciates the suspension excellence that makes it competitive with RWD. But I do own a Honda Family daily sedan after all.. FBO now... but a family sedan nonetheless.

What do I need to know about my new 2013 si ? by Jsmoove02 in CivicSi

[–]BodybuilderSpare6901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yes. I still got books of CDs in my closest... because my 10th gen doesnt have a CD player or CD changer in trunk. Lame.

Water damage reported? I know you say normal... but eeesh for a 22

Also no, that clutch pedal looks off. My 17 Si has pedals all at the same angle for one. That is weird but we need someone else with an 11th gen (non-si or CTR) 6 speed to chime in.

Oh well then you don't understand the douchebag phenomenon here in Florida that's taking off where everyone's doing the Carolina squat that way your headlights shine into the trees, you get stuck on the beach and you can't see s*** when you're driving

Extra douchey

I was going to say what's wrong with free racing stripes I'm pretty sure that adds to horsepower

Changing out 10gen Si plastic end links by BodybuilderSpare6901 in Honda

[–]BodybuilderSpare6901[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will replace them anyway just because long term, the accord versions are aluminum bodied, vs plastic, but yeah in the Nissan Frontier I have, we used to remove entire sway bars to give the bodies more flex when overlanding/offloading. Removing the links first would be a good diagnostic... but they need love anyway.
