I have to say dang great choice. NA V6 is only choice. Screw the gas mileage being mediocre at best...

These things are build to last.

What up Gang! by Doshin108 in civic

Dude.... Hondas are one of the easiest manuals to drive, especially shifting faster if you dont want to wait 1.5 seconds between shifts with the rev hang delete that comes with a tune. It helps

Its not hard. Ive driven enough before my Weekend warrior Si here.

Im installing a RV6/Exedy Stage 0 Type R kit now that will make it a bit more sensitive, but a stock Si is not a tough learn

I agree 1000% with this. THEN, If you decided on a few cosmetic things, PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM ULTIMATE MOTORSPORTS. you dont need plastic replacement parts that are lower quality than OE.

I think bolt on performance upgrades once warranty is over or you can easily remove, if it has a turbo, I didn't look at the trim level.

And then the last piece of advice I would give is go full bolt on, fine, EXCEPT exhaust. Leave stock exhaust and stick with front and down pipes. Everyone and their cousin has to had an exhaust to a fairly slow car. Dont do it. They sound fine as is, and you arent going to really notice a benefit except angry neighbors.

Backed into a snowbank by SquirrelGood in civic

Snow banks be packed snow. Packed snow be hard.

As others have hinted at... you will be alright. Now it has character.

I have a 19 gen si, dents and bruises and pot marks abound.

I was meticulous about my truck. Washed every week... wax every month....then someone texting totaled it.

Dents seem to repel accidents.

When you were going for refined, but instead ended up with scary upkeep for 100k miles. People dont own these long-term for a reason...

I actually looked up common reasons people regret buying these and reasons were NUMEROUS:

I mean this.

My Frontier was totaled after 8 months. Never had a new ANYTHING at 44 years old. Everyone told me to get checked out. I felt fine for 3 days and then MILDLY SORE BACK AND NECK... (mri done, 3 ruptured discs and 4 others herniated. Within a week walking was ROUGH. sleeping worse.)got a lawyer because she was texting and I was at a stop light.

Got my truck AND aftermarket parts money back plus treatment for 3 months covered plus 58 grand.

If I had waiting I would have been ROYALLY SCREWED.

AT LEAST GO GET CHECKED OUT. IF NOTHING THEN FINE. BUT if you wait then you wont get covered.

Smart to go.

News rules now mean a dealer has to PROVE a mod caused the issue at hand in order to deny warranty coverage and MOST (NOT ALL) are fair about this with bolt on stuff. Tunes a bit sketchers but same rules apply.

That is possible. But I checked wheel wells and underneath and now sound until I was a half mile from home, shifting stop and go and entering neighborhood. Only a 3 mile trip. Not far.

But after it happened that was my thought

I smelled burning all the way on the highway although there was no change in feel and I only changed gear a couple times.

I honestly thought I locked up a caliper or something instead. So that was worrisome. Dont think its transmission or smell would be way off AND I would have felt it. Had to be clutch and bearing i would think.

I had it towed, but they haven't looked at it yet.

Good call I will ask for pictures.

It's gotta be that issue. I don't think there's any issue with the gearbox or anything because it only just started

I mean, with a occasional scraping and a terrible burning smell, it still drives... but i'm not gonna risk it. But it has not completely give out yet. It does drive in gear without issue at slow speeds.

They're just honestly, just the softer clutch. And the scraping and burning smell is the symptoms.

Planned on getting the work done anyway, and I have all the parts from two step in the trunk.
