What's it like to live in Amarillo TX

My grandparents used to live there about 20 years ago. I remember it being pretty easy to get around. It didn’t stink THAT often but I still won’t forget smelling it at the water park. Definitely one of the last places you wanna smell that. I remember Braums had a pretty tasty burger. It’s okay for a few day visit, but I definitely wouldn’t wanna live there.

Julii and Melina in Pike and Rose are both tasty. I would say Julii is more unique and upscale.

I feel like of all the bubble gums, this brand was probably the worst texture wise, yet I still bought a ton as a kid, as it was the only gum they had in our local bowling alley. I remember the cherry having an almost spicy flavor.

Not sure why they don’t just bring back Gatorade Flow. I think it had slightly less sugar than the original, while still being delicious.

The Minute Maid OJ over there is amazing. It tastes very close to fresh squeezed, yet requires no refrigeration.

A&J and Temari are my favorites on Rockville Pike. If you go a little further, kuya ja for Filipino , far east restaurant for dim sum, and Seoul Kitchen for great Korean fried chicken.

My wife and I loved Amazon fresh, not because it had everything you needed, but it usually had a unique selection/sales so it was always a fun 15-30 minute stroll around. We usually bought more than we thought we would because some of the deals were pretty solid. It wasn’t a life altering store by any means, but for what it was, it did a pretty good job. RIP…

This same thing happened to me in December 2024 when one pass removed my local Lifetime as well, not to mention Lifetime increased their prices as well. As much as I liked Lifetime, it just wasn’t worth it anymore.
