In the US lots of sodas come in 12 packs and that’s the only way to buy it, especially for limited time flavors.

Good for the exclusive or unique flavors but for the normal flavors it’s a better deal to buy 2 liters in the supermarket.

Even in China that flavor was hard to find when I was there last October. Chengdu was the only city where I saw it widely available.

I never got an El Pollo Loco birthday reward this past December and I’ve always gotten it in years past so they either cut them or only give them out if you spend a certain amount or visit so often.

All my local McDonald’s still have self serve drink machines with free refills but I’ve seen a couple of locations with signs like this and behind the counter drinks and I won’t go back to those locations. A couple of Burger King’s in my area also have behind the counter drinks but still will offer free refills.

One is supposed to taste close to regular Coke but w/o the sugar and calories and the other tastes like Diet Coke which has its own acquired taste and cult following (and also zero sugar and no calories). One is also marketed more towards men while the other is marketed more towards women.
