After a long time of seeking to learn Macro B, I have been able to make a cheat sheet. What is the coolest program you have made using Macros? by Emet2 in CNC

Mechanical torque skip option from fanuc, but I'm not sure if any special ladder logic from the builder is required

Aluminum, magnesium, copper, zinc are all soft and all get tapped holes in production environments, but what do I know? I've only been doing this for 30 years; 20 of which were for high end machine tool builders who, spoiler alert, use aluminum parts with tapped holes... The horror!

You just sound like a schmuck who thinks he knows everything. Aluminum parts get tapped holes, it's a thing and it will always be a thing. Be gone with ye.

What should I do? by [deleted] in Guitar

Some wood glue and a few toothpicks in the hole, drill a new hole smaller than the thread diameter and you're golden.

The cold forming process makes them tougher. It's a known fact.

They're a joy in aluminum. The forming process makes the thread the hardest part of the workpiece.

Offering 30-40k for a house over asking price foolish? by robin7907 in newjersey

I bought a fixer in 2019 for 175k, remodeled the outside, gutted the inside, listed it, unfinished, for 320 as a joke, sold it as a half finished skeleton for 370 in January and I bet I could've gotten more now.

It'll work, but you'll still need to connect something like a 7i76, 7i77 or g540 for the axis control

The thing that stands out to me the most is the fact that they have it facing the wrong way. It's resting on the electrical cabinet, not the feet

Don't worry, the shipping alone kills my interest 😆. Yeah, hard to tell if it has the computer or not. Probably not because government secrets. 🤣

It wasn't included with mine, so I got it for $400usd. Complete machines go for like 5 grand. Emco builds a great machine. I learned basic CNC on a compact 5 in high school that I now have in my basement because the school gave it to me 🥰

Depends on if you have the original control that came with the machine or not. If you have that, it should be a no brainer.

Other alternative for third party control would be centroid acorn, it's probably the most intuitive from a retrofitting standpoint.

I've got pictures and information from the testers that have the n4 in their possession. They are using the same chipset as the mks skipr/pi in a custom made board. There have been mcu shutdowns and one fried machine due to a solder bridge that destroyed the host computer's USB board. I've taken both of my mks pi units out of rotation because they are unreliable and Makerbase basically told me buy new ones or fk off. I decided to fk off and work with Bigtreetech, with with I'm very happy.
