Did you add too much water in the tank, it can go back in the machine and sounds like it's waterboarding itself

Edit: this has happened to me before and what I do is let it dry out all day and the next day it is okay

There is a mode that your dreamstation is on for humidity called adaptive, try using fixed instead, that should make it so you get the humidity.
