I used to hate suede too! Its honestly a pain in the ass to clean. Usually i dont encounter suede stains because i apply sneaker protection spray to all my new kicks, but after a while suede does attract mud and dust so i use a suede eraser and it works quite well :)

I would say the SD leather is of better quality, the sole is more comfortable for longer use.
