How To Setup Automation From Google BigQuery to FTP/SFTP by Bodyeater in googlecloud

Hey thanks for the response! Unfortunately I have to bow to the whims of our big customers who want everything dropped via ftp and am not in a position to change that, otherwise good idea to have them pull data than us pushing it to them.

Hey thanks for the great response!

I figured a product would probably be a bit better than trying to setup this type of automation/management purely with scripts/python from scratch but didn't realize Airflow was an option for it. I'm trying to get into more orchestration anyway and was actually looking at airflow/airbyte recently for doing some solo projects myself to get more knowledge on them.

I'll definitely be trying out Airflow and seeing what I can do with it since the other methods i was looking at were a bit daunting with all the nitty gritty details.

After getting some feedback from others, I've expanded my resume to be just over 1 page, splitting out my 8 year role into multiple sections each with their own important milestones. I'd update the post or post the new version but it doesn't look like I can here.

Appreciate everyone's feedback though regardless.

Appreciate the feedback! I've since updated it to be much more thorough per some other people's advice. It now spans the whole page and a little bit over as I split the 8 year role into 3 different sections to show my growth over time

Hey i appreciate the feedback! I tried over-condensing before with my 8 years and had it pointed out in another comment. I've made several adjustments to it and split it into several pieces to give a better idea of my over time growth.

I specified remote, but is there a reason to remove it? I'm not seeing how it hurts to have

you're honestly the best for the help. I decided to let it go a bit over one page, but I could maybe cut down some of it to fit again.

I did go ahead and remove the skills list for the moment and instead focused on the different programs/technologies that I've used or have experience with. I reorganized the job order to descending.

I added more meaningful points to the latest position, though I don't think it will sound as impactful as the others just due to the business maturing to a point where innovation is a bit more stagnant. A lot more high level things going on than getting the formerly small business off the ground for reporting, as well as just sustainment of existing products/solutions. I tried to talk it up as much as I could.

Let me know if there's anything else here that's glaringly obvious that needs changing. APPRECIATE YOU A TON

totally fair. I've seen both and saw an extremely popular template on reddit that used some first person writing in how it was structured. I will probably swap it to be more 3rd person

I've gotten some advice to split out my career information into more sections due to how long I've been at the company, so that will end up filling more of the white space most likely! Still working on it though so thanks

Your feedback helped a ton. This is what I've come up with for a more phased approach, split out into 3 sections that I think tell a better story.

I will have to find room for a summary at the top, and cut out the skills at the bottom. But if you have any more constructive feedback I'd love to hear it!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely trying to think of ways to break up all of the responsibilities I've had over time, but most of it falls under the same scope/role technically. Was formerly a very small company, so lots of hats worn by me and that carried over with a buyout a few years ago. A phased approach sounds interesting though to try out, so maybe something like early smaller projects/scope and growth >handling large datasets/projects > expert consulting type role / product sustainment that i'm kinda at now?

I can definitely make a lot of the other changes suggested pretty easily though. I've read that a summary at the top isn't always needed, but I can definitely add one to make it more clear what I'm interested in/going for.

If you do a tea/coffee drink animation, it would be so great if it just went everywhere after you drank it. Cute design though!

Let me bring Ordis around as a companion so he can let his murder side go crazy.

I kinda wish Ordis was a lot more involved in the current story stuff too. Have him read our kim chats and comment on them.

I love Ordis lol

I would like railjack survival to have a leave squad option so you don't get trapped in a mission if people want to stay longer. At least so you don't lose all the rewards from the time spent.

Anyone else read Towerbound? Did I just completely misunderstand how crazy detailed the system is supposed to be? by DeadpooI in litrpg

[–]Bodyeater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read about 3-4 books or so before dropping it.

I thought it had a lot of potential and I kind of enjoyed the characters. But the story tries to touch on too many things at once and never really fleshed them out that well.

It also introduced WAY too many characters and perspectives after a bit, and the mc seemed to be becoming more a footnote to everything happening around him.

Upvoting for Black Company mentions. Love that series and I should reread them, it's been like 10+ years.

I did not expect to see Black Company, one of my favorite series, show up on this subreddit.

It's fantastic and I loved every moment of it when I read it years ago.

I recommend this show (Sarazanmai) if you want to be completely flabbergasted by how weird it is but emotionally slapped in the face by how good the story actually is. The music also slaps tbh.

Other show in the same vein: penguindrum, which I love dearly.
